Lightweight and easy to carry. Set-up is easy - you only need to bring a small shovel or spade to fill the bags. I suggest wrapping the shade once or twice around the rounded top of the poles. Take down is equally easy. Everything folder up neatly back into the bags.

The canopy is light and easy to set up. I extended the lines on the edge that would become the upwind side and this helped with stability in higher winds. I would like to see a more reinforced pole pocket near the corner, because this position for the poles seems to work better as the wind increases. I will likely purchase another one of these, since they are much lighter than the full frame shades and can be set up by one person.

Pros: Lightweight Cons: Does not hold shape Constantly having to readjust poles My family and I are at the beach every weekend. We typically take a Crown Shades 10 x 10 pop up canopy with us and anchor it down. This year I thought I’d try something less bulky to carry with us. BIG mistake. When there is no wind, it’s useless - obviously. But when it’s windy, regardless if it’s 5-10 or 10-15, the tent will not hold shape. What it likes to do is snatch the top middle fabric between the poles and cut it in half so that it’s blowing in on you. It’s the most annoying thing I have ever sat under. I would not recommend this product ... I’d rather sit in the sun all day. I appreciate the concept and thought I would like the stretchy fabric, especially since it wouldn’t be noisy, but what I’ve learned from this is that the heavier fabric makes it much harder for the tent to hold shape. Skip this product and utilize a pop up canopy OR a shibumi.

We love the Artik Sun shade. We used it on our recent trip to Florida. We set it up in less than 10 minutes. Take down was just as fast. It is a little difficult to get back into the bag. By the the third use, we figured out the best way to fold so that it goes back into the bag easily. I would recommend looking at how it is folded in the packaging before unwrapping it. On the downside -There are some fabric discolorations that don't affect the use of the product. The bag has started to come apart at the seam with only two uses. I am hoping I can sew it.

Ihad REALLY high hopes and was super excited about this tent. I'll admit that the day we tried to use it, it was a windy day, but it took 4 people to get it up & it collapsed 4 times after getting it up. Once we got it up, only 2 people could sit under it, as the back 2 corners were not as depicted in the picture, rather they were on the ground. We'll totally try the next time we go to the beach, but I'm not as hopeful this time. I almost think it needs 4 poles to make it really useful for a family...stay tuned!

Going to the beach soon and from what I see in briefly unpacking the product I can't wait too use it. We previously used a pop-up tent and it was heavy and cumbersome to lug to the beach. Not so with the Artik Tent Canopy. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is because I haven't used it yet, but again we love it and can't wait to use it. Very priced hard to tie off. Needs grommets in key locations. Product came stained from unknown when in packed. Not pleased at all. Company unresponsive.

This tent shade is really great and portable. It’s heavier than I was expecting (heavier than a beach chair) but definitely light enough to tote. The two ‘issues’ we have are wind and getting the poles deep enough not to fall over. When light or no wind - its perfect! You also have to dig the polls in really deep to keep them sturdy (which is fine but we worried we’d bend the poles). We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly it cleaned up (sand didn’t stick) and easy to put away. Love it!
