I have been using two of these for about 3 months now. One is the normally open and one is normally closed. I am using them together with a wood stove and furnace both supplying the same plenum. The dampers close up nice against the foam strip they have inside and stop almost all the air. If one of these is used near an occupied space in your home, just be prepared for the sound they make returning to normal. The motors are geared down, so when the spring starts pulling the damper to "normal" it whines a little for maybe 5 seconds. No big deal in my opinion and I am happy with the results of the units. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Good enough for me. *by A***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 3, 2016* I have 2ea. 6" dampers of the same type and manufacture currently in use. They work well so far and were easy to install. By the time my project is over, I will install 3ea. 8", 2ea. 6" and 2ea. 12" zone control dampers. Most likely Suncourt. I only wish there was a transformer listed that would operate all 7 dampers if opened at the same time.
