What are the dimensions of this item?

It fits a standard crib mattress well. The dimensions for our crib are 27.75 x 52.25 x 5.95 inches. It fits snugly and stays in the mattress, but not so tight that you have to wrestle it on the mattress which was the case with a 2-pack we bought at babies r us.

What is the oz weight of this fabric?

Don't really know, but the sheets feel really light. I have washed them several times and they have held up well so far.

Would they be too big for a playard mattress?

Yes depth is a crib sheet, not a play yard.
