Spy vs Spy Missions of Madness (Mad Magazine)

I have loved mad magazine all my life and spy vs spy was always a big part of that. My son gravitated to spy from a young age (probably because of no words to read) but he still loves them at 14 years old now. He still has spy vs spy hats, dog tags and t-shirts, Were a little disappointed that these were small books instead of the large ones we got before still great content though.

My son loves playing the x-box game and so I went looking for more for him. This book is fantastic. It delivers the classic comedy of 'spy vs spy' without the other mad magazine material which is too old for him right now.

Bad influence.....but that's why the kids love it.

Was surprised this book was the size of a novel. I expected it to be more along the size of a comic book.

I bought it for my son as he loves spies and hates reading still. He loves this book and says it is his favorite book

mad is my favorite magazine to read because those spies are in there and they make me laugh all the time

if your an early mad mag buff this will make you smile, laugh out loud or roll on the floor....or maybe all three

Yes, I love this one also. Spy vs Spy is like watching two of James Bond's Qs trying to outsmart each other. It is so bizarre and far-fetched you have to chuckle. The realities of espionage and counter-espionage in the Cold War for instance, lend a serious undertone to the competition, but it's still funny.

ich denke mal, das jeder Spy vs Spy mag, nichts negatives über dieses Buch sagen kann.Da es neben den Überschriften nicht viel Text außer "Booomm" oder "plof" etc gibt, kann man es sich auch gut als "Nicht-Englisch-leser" anschauen :-)

ファミコンになった時に、雑誌に誤って紹介されたので、多くの人が勘違いしてますが、実は「ヘッケルとジャッケル」とは全くの別物です。ただ、当時はネットもない時代ですし、日本では知名度が低い事も大きな理由で、多くの人が混同しています。実際、当時、同じ雑誌を読んだ私も最近までそう思っていました。おかげで「Spy vs Spy」は日本だけ普及しませんが、かなりダークな大人向きのサイレントコミックです。ちなみに「Spy vs Spy」は海外では人気があり、PSシリーズでも発売されたり、コミックが復刊になったり、CMで起用されフルCGと実写版が制作されたり、作者没後も新世代の漫画家が描いたりしてます。文字がないので誰でも読めます！！実は作者も亡命して来たので、英語が話せなかったのです。ただ、内容は天才的コミックの職人技です。「ジャパニーズ・コミックがナンバー１」なんて言ってる連中が小さく見える程、面白い漫画ですよ。
