Very impressed with this little WiFi box
Iv been meaning to leave this review since summer, but kept forgetting. We went on vacation back in April, 2021. I was in desperate need of WiFi in our vehicle since we were traveling 12+ hours with children. I also knew that there would be several section on our route without the best cell service. I researched for a few days and came across this WiFi box. After reading the reviews I decided I would give it a shot. Mostly because the cost of data was so much better than others had to offer. I was worried because some people talked about the service not being great around water and we were going to the beach. However, the MightyWifi box provided strong consistent service on our ENTIRE trip there and worked the whole time at the beach!! Iv been using this every day since. I keep it in my car because I donโt fool with phone service on my own phone. So when I go out by myself I want to make sure I can communicate with people. This has been working WONDERFULLY. My ONLY complaint is the battery doesnโt work great. It dies rather quickly. And now after so many months of use it shuts down over night by itself. That doesnโt bother me too bad. It still comes on with no problems. I could go on for ages about how impressed Iv been with this device. **Update** After a year and a half, this box is still going. However, I should admit I have had some problems. I donโt know if itโs the box itself or the service provided. There have been several weeks in total the box was stuck on โsearching for serviceโ, even though I had not changed locations and previously got wonderful service. It just simply will not connect. I still have this problem occasionally, but it seems to be worse in the cold. Sometimes I will have full bars, but my device still doesnโt want to load and itโs the only thing connected. For the most part, this has worked great and definitely worth the money. Itโs still working with some hiccups here and there.

I'm not saying don't buy it.
It worked great out of the box-BUT- after powering it off and leaving it overnight, it was dead the next day after trying to restart. Got about 10% recharged before it would connect but it wouldn't stay connected. Tried a hard reset but nada. Tried it with two other PC's to no avail and just sent it back. Total bummer. Maybe a bad unit and may try purchasing another one. Their pricing btw is subject to CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE. Bandwidth is getting scarce and as an aside, Theta coins p2p tech may solve this problem. Buy Theta coin !!

Worked in the US - after help from Support
I bought this for my mom so she could work from home. I first tested at my house and performance was ok. When we set it up at her house (downtown San Francisco), performance was dismal. Download speed was around 50kbps although upload was 2mpbs, but still unusable. But the support team was great and quickly made an adjustment and after restarting, performance was more like 5mbps, completely acceptable. I've used a Skyroam in the past prefer this one, especially given their excellent support. Still, at the same place it gives around 5mbps roaming on T-Mobile, my own phone (Google Fi using T-Mobile) gets more like 15-20mbps, so there is definitely room for improvement. I am happy with their US data plans - priced fairly and are "unlimited" in that they slow down but don't stop if you hit your plan max for the month.

I recommend going through your primary cell phone company.Beautifu piecof
Beautiful piece of equipment. They assigned me T Mobile, whose cell tower is too far to get more than one bar, so very spotty performance.

Worth a try if in a rural area
First off, we have a cabin in the middle of the Nicolet Chequamegon National Forest in Wisconsin and for years have always had cell issues and no internet up there. As time went on cell service got better with limited data coverage where our cabin is located where we could use my phone for a hotspot. Well fast forward to 2020, I was looking for something that would allow us to have the basic internet amenities and to also get the Packer game during deer hunting in November. I saw that they had a very reasonable pricing for data only and inquired about if they had service where our cabin is as they did not have any coverage maps on their website which did turn me off just a bit. I ended up emailing the company and in all fairness they said that I would get "fair" coverage where our cabin is at. They had a promotion going on for 50 free GB of data, but you had to by the device as well. I decided to bite the bullet and try it out. I was shocked that we were able to get 4G data and we were able to connect 5 devices. I will say that the signal was pretty much on either 1 or 2 out of 4 bars but we had decent internet. The signal did drop 3 or 4 times over a 3 day period but we were able to use our Roku and I was able to use the wifi for my phone to check weather and news. I would at least give them a try. Their customer services primarily responded quickly through email. I would refer if others are looking for internet up north by us to try them out.

Doesn't pick up all cell signals like I'd hoped
I bought this because I work remotely and wanted to travel across the US in my RV. There were areas where AT&T had a weaker signal so I used Mighty WiFi hoping for a little more bandwidth. Often times it did not produce any signal at all, I would have thought it would at the very least pick up AT&T but it did not. There were a few occasions where is picked up a decent signal when my AT&T had nothing. It works sometimes, and when it works, it works well. I don't feel like I got my money's worth from it (yet). That said, I don't regret my purchase but feel lukewarm about it.

Better than my Jetpack
Living in a rural area means slow internet and data caps. Just the way it is. I've used a Verizon Jetpack for the last couple of years and while it's worked well, they only give you 15gb of high speed data per month. I go through that in about 10 days even without streaming. So I decided to give Mighty a try. I was nervous at first because Verizon is really the only provider with any type of signal here and Mighty does not operate off Verizon. But still, I have been using it for four days and I am impressed! The first couple of days it would connect for an hour, then lose the signal for an hour, then connect, then lose, etc. That's almost stopped entirely now, it's like the device has learned what signals are the most stable at my house. Sometimes it would pick up T-Mobile and somtimes ATT. ATT is much faster so I contacted customer service and they remotely locked my device to only pick up ATT. Things have been really good since then! Depending on congestion I am getting between 2Mbps-12Mbps down. Previously my Jetpack would run at half those speeds. Also, the signal it puts out is strong enough to cover my entire 1300 sq ft house. My jetpack only covered half the house. So far I have my laptop, desktop, printer, and cell phone all hooked up at the same time and it's handling that just fine. Once you download the app and complete the set up you will see there are a variety of pay as you go data plans to choose from which is awesome. $90 for 300 gb is definitely the best value especially if you want to do any streaming. I contacted customer service once before purchase, and twice after purchase and each time I received an almost instant email response that was polite and helpful. I'm cautiously optimistic that this could really work out for me for a home internet solution. So far, I am impressed.
