Vectra for Cats Flea Treatment & Prevention for Large Cats (Over 9 lbs.) 3-Month Supply

This is a good product, works well on fleas and I have worked in several veterinary clinics where this product was sold, customers loved it.

After many failed attempts with other products, Vectra was successful at ridding my furbabies from fleas

It works. Though my vet's office doesn't carry anymore. My cats get a little woozy and I make sure they stay indoors for 6-8 hours after applying. To be sure they aren't rain3d on as well as keeping an eye for any new effects. It's said not to be effective in my area any more. That is wrong. My 2 pets never have carried a flea into the house. I guess each area has its level of infestation. The problem is the OWNERS imo. And those 90 day products are so expensive and don't last 90 days and my pets had the-worst initial reaction of any I've tried, I felt bad giving that one to them. I'll stick w Vectra as long as I can.

We use this on our indoor/outdoor cat and it seems to work OK The problem with our cat is that his hair is so short and the amount of treatment is so generous that even applying the Vectra at almost the top of his head causes it to run down the back of his neck to where he can get to the Vectra and possibly lick it. We have taken care of our pets with spot type flea treatments for the past four decades so this is not something new to us, but our cat's non-absorbent fur worries us a bit, so we monitor him closely and try to distract him when it looks like he's going to mess with the application site. This is also the first spot treatment we have used on this kitty as he was a young stray that decided to adopt us this past winter. We want flea treatments that work for him so he doesn't tend to bring fleas in to the house and give them to our other, strictly indoor, cat. I cannot detect any kind of scent or odor from this product, unlike some things we have used in the past. Unlike some other reviewers our package arrived with all the vials intact and perfectly usable. The extended applicator makes the application as easy as it can be.

Long story short, we have had a flea infestation for almost 2 years from 2 kittens we took in. Even though we washed them with baby shampoo and combed them out and eventually flea shampoo and flea collars, nothing worked! The fleas kept coming back and they are indoor cats! When they were old enough, I tried so many topical flea treatments and the oral one as well; even the really expensive brand the vet recommended. That worked for a short time but the fleas still came back. I washed and vacuumed everything but i couldn't get rid of them. I saw Vectra a couple mouths ago so I bought it for my 5 cats and my dog. I wasn't expecting it to work but it did! Finally no more scratching and no more getting bit!!

It has been a bad year for fleas and ticks here in western North Carolina and this has helped keep our little buddy free from both. easy to use just collapse the plunger on the tip and squeeze it on the base of your pet's neck.

It works! I’ve been using it for a year now, and I no longer have fleas. Although it makes my hair smell funny. No risk of bubonic plague now 🙂
