This is the flea product our vet recommends. It truly works. I had a flea problem start last year...noticed some on the dogs...as I had forgotten to apply by two weeks and we had gone on a long walk where other dogs had been. I put it on the dogs, put them in their sleeping crates for an hour while I washed everything and vacuumed. In that hour all the fleas were dead!The other great thing, this product repels flies and mosquitoes. Because it repels mosquitoes, heart worm is less of an issue! We went on a trip to Oregon with the dogs, the vet was concerned about if we should have temporary doses of hear worm meds while there. Then he remembered they are on Vectra...he said that it wasn't a problem then. Since we don't live in a heart worm area they don't have to have meds.

Was recommended by my vet to use this product to treat and protect against fleas. Once I started using it, I never looked back. Works great, Easy to apply. No greasy hair. No reactions. Packaged well. Cost is a bit higher than other brands, but this product WORKS. Once you deal with a flea infestation (time money and aggravation to get rid of them), paying a little more for a product you trust is worth every penny.

I tried 8 different types of flea and tick treatments this last summer for my German Shepard service dog none worked. I got a sample of Vectra 3D from my veterinarian and it worked been purchasing this product for 6 months now. Have learned when you put it on the back of the neck run just a little straight down the back to the tail and no baths for 2 day for it to work and last longer.My vet told me every pet reacts differently to every product and same for fleas and ticks in different areas.. All you can do is keep trying until you find what works best for your pet. Check your vet they may have cheap or free samples to try if this does not work for your pet.

I apply this monthly on my 60+ pound bully/lab mix. It is very effective! We live in an area with a lot of farmland, animals, and waterways, and there are plenty of bugs to go around. This stuff acts like a force field keeping fleas, ticks, and whatever other creatures away. One note, though: it seems to have an oil base, which can get a little messy sometimes. Also, our groomer told me to wait a few days after his bath before applying it because it could irritate his skin if his natural oils have not had a chance to build up again. Heeding that advice, I have been using this on him for three years with no issues!

The applicator makes this product definitely stand out. We have a long haired dog with a VERY thick fur coat and have had problems getting other flea and tick medication all the way down to the skin. She did not get fleas or ticks even after some adventures in the woods and deep grasses so I trust the product. Having an easier to use applicator with a long neck is a huge plus. We will be buying this again when we run out.

It's not going to be an instant miracle worker. I used 1 dose/month for 3 months, vacuumed my apartment 2x/day, sprayed my apartment with an all-natural flea spray, and bathed my dog in all-natural flea/tick shampoo before the fleas were finally gone. I started seeing them less and less after the first dose, but its hard to get rid of them for good when they lay eggs all over the place that hatch in a few weeks. Fleas are definitely a nuisance, so just have some patience and this product will do the trick in no time with consistent cleaning and bathing. :)

I've used this product for a couple of years with no issues at all. It was the first product I've tried that actually repels ticks which became a huge problem for us when we moved to NC. I was spending $24 a pop buying this product directly from our vet, so when I found this three pack on Amazon for a considerably discounted priced I jumped on it. My first two Amazon vectra orders were great and I even bought a box for our grandparents little doggies who were overrun with fleas and the medication worked flawlessly. Unfortunately, this last box that I purchased was a complete dud and after using the second application from the box with still no effect, my poor furbaby is covered in fleas. I'm super bummed because it's now past my "return/replace window" and I'm hesitant to purchase another box from Amazon just to waste my money and also harm my pooch with too many applications too close together.
