Im an adult and bought this as a first metal detector to just mess around on a recent trip to Alabama. Im 5'7" and is perfect for me without having to hunch over. The screen and sounds are very clear! And once you start learning the different modes it is very easily manipulated to find exactly what your looking for. Takes two 9v batteries and last roughly 10-14 hours. The only thing missing is the forearm strap to make it perfectly comfortable, but for the price i will just make my own strap. In three days of searching i found over $5 in modern American coins(1c/5c/10c/25c)ranging from 1964 to newer and a bunch load of other metals including a pair of Oakley sunglasses that are worth about $100 next to a beer can. All in all 5 stars for a $60 detector!!!!!!

Great for kids to explore and discover things in the dirt and sand.

This item did not perform as was advertised. It would only sound for nails lying on the surface if the ground. Very amateur! Would really like to return this item & get my money bac!

Overall great experience with this metal detector! Lightweight, comfortable to carry, and so far I've had good detections. Digital display is easy to understand after reading the manual. The detection is loud enough that you'll hear it in a noisy environment (windy beach) but I kept headphones in it and relied on the digital display. Id recommend this for anyone who's interested in this as a hobby or something extra to do while fishing or on vacation.

Perfect for a kid , but not that accurate.

Absolute winning after this purchase For our 15 year old son’s birthday. It’s been able to survive his trips out to lakes and rivers. He says it works well and it’s easy to use and has been accurate. So far an awesome gift.
