These are the best puppy pads I've tried! I used a few other brands first, all white with blue backing. They all worked ok, but did nothing to control odor and did not absorb quickly enough. I would often come home to find little paw prints around the mats from little wet paws. I decided to try these to help with faster liquid absorption and with controlling odor. I could not be happier!These really do absorb liquid very quickly -- you can actually watch the liquid being absorbed into the pad as it turns from a black color (wet) into a grey tone (liquid locked into pad) as it absorbs. It does so in seconds. No more wet paws to track unsanitary prints on my floors!They are excellent and controlling odor, too. With the old pads, I always ran to the windows to open them the minute I got home because even a slight odor from a wet pad is more odor than I'm ok with. With these, it's hard to even tell if they are used when I get home because there is little to no odor. Plus, the pad absorbs the liquid so you don't see yellow spots on it; it's actually hard to tell if it's been used unless you look closely.My little dogs (two chihuahua mixes) seem happy. They actually seem to use these more than the other pads; we've had less off-pad-accidents with these pads. Not sure why, but I don't care. They work really well, so I'm happy.I will definitely be ordering these from now on. They are only a few dollars more, but the quality is so much higher, it is completely worth it. In fact, I think the slightly higher price actually evens out because I use fewer pads -- there's no ugly yellow staining, and they absorb so much better, I'm actually changing the pads less frequently.Great product. I highly recommend it. And no, I didn't receive any kind of discount or freebie for this review. I'm just very happy with the product!

These pads are expensive but each pad last easily over a week if you're using them for a small breed dog. Before getting these I'd burn through packs of store bought pads but my little shih Tzo would wee wee on them and it would soak right through leaving me to constantly mop up a mess. These pads for me are a game changer...they have fantastic absorbency...you don't get the smell of urine and they don't look wet as roughly 90% of it dries on the pad. When I got these the very first thing that I did was take one out lay it on the floor and pour an entire glass of water on it. Well to my surprise it absorbed the entire glass and when I picked up the pad there wasn't a single wet spot underneath it. Right there I was sold and will only use these pads. Thanks

We use these pads for our toy poodle who will only have an accident if we don't hear him ring his potty bell. The pads are great, no odor, and no leaking at all, and when the pee-pee dries you can't even tell. Much better then the pads we were getting at the wholesale clubs when he was a puppy before he was potty trained. He's trained now to ring the bell we have on the glass patio sliding door, but we keep 1 extra large pad down in case of an accident.

What I like about them is they're long lasting. I bought a pack back in June and we just used our last one as of 11/15/23. However.... these pads only get 4 stars because they are NOT odor eliminating!!!! I have 3 Air wicks running in my house because I smell our dogs urine and it's bad. Otherwise I would give it 5 stars!!!

These are the best I’ve ever purchased. They are thick, absorbent and completely control the urine odor. I have four dogs but only one senior dog needs these during the night. When the largest dog (50#) was on steroid treatment, its urine output was increased. These pads did a great job absorbing and controlling all odor. Highly recommend.

Simply put, I give these an A+ for:1) Size - big enough for multiple uses by my Yorkie2) Leak prevention - my furbaby aimed right at the edge, but this pad held it all without overflow to my marble floor3) Odor block - no smell even when left down for an hour (Only a faint smell when I was bending down to pick it up.)4) Look - love that the black hides the mess rather than looking at those lovely stains on a white padIf you're thinking of trying these, go for it!-----Update 2/20/17:These do leak, unfortunately, as do all that I have tried. I discovered this a while after starting to use these and posting this review. I've tried several brands since this purchase and recently bought another box of these just to give them another shot. I don't know if the quality has changed, but this second box definitely seems to have less edge protection than the first box I purchased. These simply aren't worth the cost to me since they're only marginally better than other less expensive brands (because of the color and scent masking). I'd rather go for something less expensive and use multiple pads if I have to. I'll be using these in conjunction with less expensive pads to make them last.
