I have purchased a locking Silent Hitch Pin and that should tighten up the rack to the hitch reciver and remedy the situation. It works fine with the locking pin, but for my own piece of mind I want to minimize the sway on long trips. It is Easy to put on and off. The Bikes fit nice and secure with the straps. I do use a Ratchet strap to further secure the bikes, again for my piece of mind. I am happy with this rack. It does the job it says it will do. I would recommend this rack.

I recommend this as a good value for families that want to transport bikes casually for vacations or weekend trips.

After researching a rack over a couple of weeks I decided on this rack. With a full house we ha e 6 adult bikes to transport. My wife's has a quick release and fits in the rear hatch of our 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, so a 5 bike rack suits us fine. I've had the rack for about a month and have used it at least once every weekend before writing the review. As stated, I've loaded 5 adult bikes on the rack and braved the Houston freeways with no issues. I've also lowered the rack fully loaded to get into the hatch and had no issues raising it back and replacing the pin. I had help lifting it back to position with 5 bikes, but if there are 5 bikes on it there SHOULD be plenty of helping hands around. I did drop my wife off to shop and when I picked her up lowered and raised the rack by myself With Zero Difficulty. I haven't used the supplied No Wobble bolt as I had purchased a locking pin before using the rack. There is some sway without the No Wobble bolt, but that is no fault of the rack itself. Positives: SIMPLE: This was easy to assemble and attach (you do need a socket wrench), and easy to load with five bikes. It took me only 25 minutes to un-box, assemble, attach and mount all five bikes the first time! OPTIONS: The mounting brackets rotate on the bars so that you can mount the bikes and attach at any angle (see pictures and video). Also, you have the option to lower the bar (see picture with it tilted and our van gate open) by removing the retaining pin. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great rack for the price

I like this rack a lot; it does what it's supposed to do and I didn't have to pay hundreds of dollars for a bigger name brand. Upon receiving the package there was surface damage to the rack; as if someone had already used it. Amazon customer service took care of the issue promptly. Putting the pieces together was simple and quick- just make sure you have the rack facing in the correct directions before tightening the bolts (I made that mistake and had to unbolt and re-bolt everything). Mounting it on my truck was simple and fact as well. i tried a variety of wrenches to make the tightening easier- socket wrenches were definitely the easiest if you have them. I drove approximately 4,000 miles with the rack on the truck and it didn't budge or move or sway a bit. I only had one road bike on the rack for the trip; so, i can't speak for driving for all 5 bikes on the rack. The only issue I have the rack and why i only gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it is definitely not rust proof. I was hit with some rain on and off throughout the trip and i started noticing areas of the rack were rusting. i'm not quite sure what to do about that; that's a bummer though for sure. I would definitely recommend this rack; it was a big life saver for me. I couldn't imagine paying several hundred dollars for those higher name brands when this one did a perfect job and was study enough to endure thousands of miles of driving, some of which were not smooth terrain. However, I did accidentally back the rack (attached to the truck) into a tree because i wasn't used to the rack being there. It didn't hurt the rack whatsoever; it's a study rack for sure! I love that is rack will come down while still mounted to open the back of my truck- that was a great advantage of the rack. Overall, this is an amazing rack for an amazing price and will definitely keep the brand in mind if we ever need another one.
