This wooden sea turtle pendant is hand carved in Ziricote, a very sought after exotic hardwood that originates from Mexico, a wood highly diverse in patterns, making this wearable art pendant unique and one of a kind. The color of this pendant is black with brown streaks throughout. The browns look more vivid in bright natural light versus artificial light, where the tones are a little darker and more subdued. Depending of one's display the color of the pendant may vary slightly. The pendant measures approximately 1.5" tall by 1.5" wide. This pendant comes with a 32" black satin cord, ready to wear. The pendant is sealed with High Gloss wood lacquer, that not only protects the wood against moisture and adds a lot of shine to the product, but also brings out the natural colors in the wood. The lacquer makes the pendant moisture resistant, but not waterproof.
