Husband loved it!
I will start off by saying I absolutely CANNOT STAND "Cincinnati Chili". (From Texas, enough said) However, hubby is from Cincinnati and on visits back home, his first stop is usually for "chili". So when I got stuck for something to get for his birthday this year, I decided to find some mix to make his beloved "chili". I chose this one mostly because of the comments about high salt content in some of the others I looked at. Not just a little high, but high enough to affect the taste according to some reviews. This one has a fraction of the salt in other brands. It was easy to make, I followed some tips in other reviews, don't brown the meat first (ugh) is the big one apparently. The longer you let it simmer the more water cooks away and you get thicker chili. I only cooked it a little over an hour and according to hubby it was perfect for "wet". The package recommends 1 to 3 hours simmer time but I think 3 would have been extremely dry at that point, but it's very much a personal preference thing. Given hubby's reaction, I would recommend this brand to anyone looking an authentic experience. Yes, there is cocoa in it... and cinnamon, along with other seasonings.

Meh...
I think we've tried pretty much every cincinnati chilli mix out there. this one was fine but was missing a spice so back to the one in the blue packet.

5 Way All The Way!
This transports me back home from L.A.! Nothing beats Cincinnati Style Chili and a classic “5-Way”. This did not disappoint and my kale loving friends in L.A. dropped the carb free diet to indulge for seconds of this delicious chili served on a pile of spaghetti served with onions, red beans and tons of cheese!

Worse than Gold Star Chili
Has a bitter taste. It’s over priced for what it is. Much better off just buying Skyline Chili from the can.

Good in a pinch
Simple instructions and great packaging, but missing a little something from the flavor perspective. Not as tasty as homemade, but also didn’t wipe out the slice rack!

We made traditional Cincinnati style 4 ways with shredded cheese and chopped white onions on top of spaghetti, and it was fantastic!
