PESIMA CALIDAD
SE OXIDO LA PRIMERA VEZ QUE LA LAVE, Y SE SUPONE QUE ES DE ACERO. NO LA RECOMIENDO PARA NADA.

Built solid. Made of quality stainless steel.
The quality is VERY well made for household use. I also believe it could be used for restaurants because it is so well made. In my opinion, the quality is good enough and the metal is thick enough to easily last a life time. I was skeptical at first to buy this because of another brand steamer that I bought years ago was made of thinner metal and was not well made. I don't understand why several reviews said that the metal was thin. THAT'S ABSOLUTLY NOT TRUE!!! I banged mine really hard with my knuckles several times on the side of the large stainless-steel pot and it did not bend it at all. Now that's quality! Other metal steamers like this that I looked at, at a restaurant supply store, were about three times the price, the metal did not seem much thicker and the construction was about the same. The only noticeable difference besides the price was that the ones at a restaurant supply store were bigger. The person who showed the photo of the pot with rust on it eather staged a false photo or used the pot for something other than cooking to have rust get on there. There's no other way at all he could have gotton rust on it by using it for what it is ment for, cooking. I have used mine a lot and there is NO rust on it, period! This steamer is definitely made of quality stainless steel. I have NEVER seen quality stainless steel rust, ever! I have used mine at least thirty times and the metal is just fine, NO RUST, Period! I even scrub it hard each time with heavy duty steel wool and soap to clean it and it looks just as nice as the day it arrived. The heavy-duty steel wool did not even scratch it. That's how well this steamer is made. Also, the handles are made of strong tubular metal that is riveted on with thick quality rivets. I used the largest gas burner on my stove on high and the flame was not wider than the bottom of the pot. If the flame from a propane stove or the coils from an electric stove are not wider than the bottom of the pot, then the handles won't get hot. The handles on mine have never gotten hot. The smaller top steamer basket is 3 1/2" deep x 8 1/2" diameter. It's large enough to steam enough vegetables for at least eight people. The larger bottom basket is 9" deep x 10" diameter. It's big enough to steam enough vegetables for at least twenty people. The bottom pot is 9 3/8" deep x 10 1/8" dimeter. That's big enough for enough soup for at least fifteen people or enough for three pounds of spaghetti. The tempered glass lid is concave (curved outward), so you can add vegetables slightly higher than the edge of steamer basket and still get the lid closed. The lid also has a small hole in it to let out a slight amount of steam, so the water won't boil over. It has an Encapsulated base (a separate piece of thick metal added to the bottom to make it sturdier and thicker) and a thicker bottom also heats more evenly. Buy this steamer. You'll be glad you did.

Wonderful size and shape!
Love everything about my new pot. The height, clear top and the siliconed handles make my life much easier. Made a large pot of broth first time I used it, then asta and it is perfect for large families.
