Nice fan with a couple of flaws
Good: Clean, attractive, contemporary look. Reversible blades look good on both sides. Quiet; barely audible even in a quiet room. Well-balanced out of the box; a tiny wobble on high speed, nothing at all on low or medium. Relatively easy to install, with one caveat (see below). I thought the remote control frivolous, but it turns out that the lack of pull-chains is nice. (And hardwired switch-box controls are surprisingly hard to find and to make work well.) LED bulbs and remote batteries included. ETL listed and lifetime warranty.Bad: $65 premium for the pewter finish, no idea why. Makes this fan rather expensive for what you get. The wireless receiver / motor control sits in a slot in the mounting bracket, which is fine unless your electrical box is shallow and/or crowded (mine is both,) in which case the receiver box BARELY leaves room for the power connections. Extending the bracket another inch, or widening the canopy a little to let the receiver sit to one side of the bracket, would have made installation a breeze. As it was, I had to do some serious juggling to get everything to fit.Ugly: Once installed and powered up, every fan and light function can be controlled with the remote. Except one. For reasons which still mystify me, reversing the fan direction involves not only a physical switch on the fan, but a switch *behind the lamp cover*. Now, granted, most people reverse the fan only twice per year, if at all. But if you do, you get to go up a ladder and remove and replace a rather awkward and delicate glass globe to throw that switch. I'd put the over/under on the glass slipping out of my hands and taking a seven-foot plunge during one of these switchovers at about five years. I'm not an engineer, but I see no excuse at all for this. At least one of the eight remote control buttons is frivolous (and i could argue two more;) was it really *that* difficult to add that function to the remote? Would have simplified the lamp wiring quite a bit too.Bottom line: Aside from the above, I'm impressed with this fan. Looks good, performs well, looks like it'll continue to do so for a long time. But I'm not going to reverse the fan unless I absolutely have to. Five stars, but it was a very close thing; the high price and that hidden reverse switch very nearly cost it that fifth star.

Difficult instructions. Silent fan. Comments on frequent complaints.
First of all, the instructions are very verbal without clear labels on the product or in the instructions about which product is what. I was pretty surprised I couldn't find a good youtube video with step by step instructions about putting the fan together, so that made it harder - I'm a very visual person. I'm certainly no newbie to installing things and putting them together - I charge my friends a six pack of beer to put their electronics or furniture together for them. When we first turned the fan on there was some pretty loud thumping coming from inside the fan. We figured out that it was a loose wire that was sticking up too high and was getting tapped by the fan fixtures when the fan was spinning. We taped the wire down and that fixed the problem. The motor is whisper silent and we really do love it now that it's done and put together. It's large, and while the visible light source through the dome-light cover was unappealing at first, we don't really mind it now. The remote is not very intuitive. The power switch only seems to work for the light, and not the fan, so if you want to turn the fan off and don't know what speed it's on, you have to guess which fan-speed will turn it off. There are some other interesting features on the remote, like the Home Shield, but otherwise it feels like it's a little too busy. I've read a lot of complaints about not being able to sync the fan and light with more than one light switch - I'm not bothering with the light switch, we just put up the wall bracket with some double-sided tape next to the light switch and it looks nice. I think we'd be able to feel like we have two switches if it was possible to buy a 2nd remote that we could mount on the other side of the room. The wind is better than expected. At first we thought we weren't getting any wind and then we toggled with interior switch to the other side. Overall, it looks nice, makes almost no noise, cools the room, and doesn't hang too low. Everything we asked for, even if getting there wasn't as easy as some other ceiling fans I've installed before.

Great function, beautiful, and easy to install
I purchased this ceiling fan for my son's bedroom. It is an excellent size for an average size bedroom.I like that the fan is compact to the ceiling, so it can be effective in rooms with 8 ft ceilings. It is very quiet while running and can really move some air. The breeze and home features are nice to have, but rarely used. I like that the light is dimmable (just hold the light button on the remote and the light will cycle from dim to bright, just let go of the button when you hit the desired level). Installation is a breeze and fairly straightforward (keeping in mind I have installed 5 ceiling fans with remotes previously). The main headache with installing fans that have remotes is getting the receiver unit all tucked away inside the fan body as there is usually very little room for the unit and the connected wires. This fan was one of the easiest in that regard and I had it installed in about 45 minutes. My only minor gripe lies with the remote. It is fully functioned allowing you to control all aspects of the fan, however the light on / light off button is the same size and shape as all the other buttons and can be hard to locate with your finger when entering the dark room and wanting to turn on the light. If that button were raised slightly, or had some different texturing it would be easier to locate the button when needed. Again, a minor gripe for what is overall an excellent and great looking fan.

Low air movement and no reverse function on the remote, vibration noise is AWFUL!
These fans are nice looking but that’s the extent of it. The pitch of the blades is almost zero (meaning they lay almost flat, the more angled they are the more air they move) so they don’t work as well as they could. Also, to reverse the air flow up or down you have to remove the glass and toggle the switch. This should be a remote function but you get what you pay for.The remotes for two of the five fans are temperamental and it isn’t a battery issue. They work when they feel like it. You have to coax them into turning on or off the light. I didn’t pay to have two toddlers in my house. They are also the ones we use the most. After having them installed for a few months I’ve noticed that all 5 units we have installed click as if something inside has shaken loose. If I tilt them or wiggle them a bit it sometimes helps for up to a couple of days but it is awful! Unfortunately it’s past the point of returning them so they are going in the trash.UPDATE: Two years later and we are going to replace all five. These are the absolute worst. The remotes for the two we used the most in the bedroom and TV room won’t work unless you stand under the fan and on the side where the remote control signal is which means I have to get out of bed and go to the foot of my husband’s side of the bed to turn the fan on. But that’s okay because it starts to rattle after a few minutes so it’s not worth using anyway. The TV room fan is quiet but only on low. Anything higher and it starts to rattle too. Again, you must get up and stand in front of the TV to get it to turn on or off. These were both installed correctly, we’ve checked that they may be misaligned but the guy who looked at them shook his head and said “pieces of crap”.The one in the guest room is rarely used, maybe 10 times in two years and it rattles too but at least you can turn it on and off from in bed but what’s the point when you can’t sleep? The ones in the kitchen and the living room work better but I think maybe it’s because they have a pole and aren’t flush against the ceiling.I am baffled that these are still selling and shame on the people giving a high star rating but saying how bad they really are. No one should have to go through the process of getting a good product the first time but I guess we almost got what we paid for.

Nice comfy fan
It’s a nice design. The remote control has a lot of features, I’d buy it again. It doesn’t make much noise. Makes the room temp nice and cool

Good quality, affordable fan
I really like the look of it, clean design, discreet yet powerful with long blades. Install wasn't bad at all but this wasn't my first ceiling fan and I have background in this type of work so it took me a little over 45 minutes start to finish. I installed it over the staircase so I wasn't too concerned about the noise levels but I can say that this fan is very quiet compared to other ones that I've installed in the past. It's been about two months with it and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Good buy
Looks great, fan is quiet but lots of power. It is 48" but provides lots of air movement. The remote is easy to operate and provides good options. No instructions in box for operation of remote but the pictures are very helpful that are on the remote.

Recommended.
Nice design fits well into room Décor. Two tone blades allow to select two options for colour. Remote works well and is a nice added feature. Frosted glass bowl light cover is white but still allows for a lot of light to shine through. Very quiet on two lower speeds with only fan blade cutting wind noise on highest speed. Only negative comment that I have is that the direction switch is located under the glass bowl light cover and requires you to remove the glass bowl twice a year to change fan direction (summer winter). I find it very inconvenient, too bad they didn't incorporate this into one of the remote's functions. Overall very satisfied with product.
