All of my gear is 1/4 but if you go to an auto parts store to rent a vacuum pump or manifold, their gear is 1/2. The thread adapter allows you to adapt my way into either set of gear

Cheap quality and dangerous if use on big refrigerant can
Cheap quality. Got broken during refill and injured my 2 fingers. Not recommended for 1kg can refrigerant.
