Is there any line noise or pooping sound when taking in optical audio output from a computer? Any popping when music stops playing?

I’ve never had any line noise or popping using optical. That is via a TV not computer but can’t imagine it would be different. The only popping I’ve ever had was if the power was pulled from the unit and then plugged back in while the volume was up but you shouldn’t ever need to unplug it, it doesn’t run hot or draw power when the switch is off.

Want to connect samsung qled tv to amplifier with passive speakers using optical cable. will this product be suitable?

No. This is a headphone amplifier and signal converter, not a speaker amplifier. You can connect the TV to this via optical, and then use the line outs on the back (red/white RCA) to input to a speaker amplifier, which would then power your speakers via speaker wire, but you will need a speaker amplifier either way. That is how the TV at my desk is hooked up, using a SMSL SA-50 for the speakers.

If you don’t need a headphone amp, then I would recommend something like the Micca OriGain AD250 (make sure it is the AD, not A). That is a speaker amp with an optical input. But that would only be for a desk set up, where you can reach the volume knob. In a living room, one of the SMSL speaker amps with a remote would be best.

I have a pair if beyerdynamic dt900! will this amp improve sound quilty and volume? using headphone for playing while drumming.

It will depend the impedance of the headphone itself, because of the fact that the amp is relatively low power, but I can’t say if it will be an improvement if I don’t know what you are comparing it to. But compared to a phone or a laptop, it is a significant improvement
