Soft enough that it won't dagame liner and you can cut with scisors. Rigid enough that you can bump it in carefully with a hammer.

This pool liner lock worked exactly as I hoped. I needed something to help secure my liner and keep it properly in place, and this did the job perfectly. The T-shape bead fit securely into the track, was easy to work with, and held the liner where it belonged. So we have above ground kayak pool and the liner was always coming lose but this it's magic and easy a must buy if you have problems holding liner

When we had the pool liner replaced, it looked good but it was difficult keeping the liner installed in the corners. Had the installers come out to check one time and they used some material forced into the seam. Didn't look all that great and over time with the changes in weather, the liner started coming loose again and in other areas. I was concerned about putting it back because I certainly did not want to tear it. Did some research on Youtube and became brave enough to try it but did not want to have to do the fabric thing. I don't remember how I found this liner lock. Probably suggested during a search for pool stuff on Amazon. Bought it a year ago and then waited for the weather and the water to get warmer. Then one day, I went for it. I used hot water to add some flexibility to the liner. I used pliers to pull but only on the reinforced lip. It was actually not too hard to put the liner in place but it felt like it wanted to pull out again. I started at the stairs and went around the entire pool using this method to fix the 3 bad spots. I used a rubber mallet to drive the liner lock in place. I did have one spot where I could not get the liner fully inserted into the seam. Even in that spot, I am not worried about it pulling out because the liner lock is set just before and after it. Looks great. I don't feel that I need to worry about the liner coming out anymore. I may try that last spot on a warm day when I have the patience but I am sure that it will ride like that. Everyone who has a pool liner should use this stuff. It greatly reduces the chance that it will work its way out of the surrounding seam.

Installed liner lock when we installed the new liner. Looks good! Very easy to install! It is helpful to have another person to keep it untwisted.

This solved a huge problem with our liner slipping out of its track in one section - about four feet long. I just couldn’t get it to stay. Then used this and it locked perfectly - I just cut the length I needed and popped it in. Simple.
