Review: Best pan for the price. Great for eggs - So far this is a great pan. I bought it mostly for eggs and omelettes, and it hasn't disappointed. Eggs slide right out. The bottom is thinner than some other brands so it heats up quick, which also means food can burn easier, but if I can master an omelette, so can you. I NEVER put these types of pans in the dishwasher or use soap. I treat them like a cast iron pan. Hot water and a soft scrub brush is all that is needed after each use. I got 10 years of service from my T-Fal non-stick pan this way, so if I get 10 years out of this Tramontina, I will be very happy with the purchase. Here are a couple pictures of a one egg omelette. I used just a drop of olive oil, and it slid right out. The second picture shows the pan sitting flat and not tipping. I'm not sure why other reviewers had issues with that but perhaps their pan was not built correctly. If that's the case, then Tramontina has a quality control issue.

**Q: Ceramic or teflon?**
A: Teflon is a brand name, so it's not the brand name, but it's the same or similar nonstick surface, except they attach or bake an outside "hard" coating on it to seal it. That's what "hard anodized" refers to. The outside coating is, as far as I know, not toxic, but what's underneath, the teflon, contains PFOAs, and other stuff, which are purported to be carcinogens aka toxins. If you chip or scratch the anodized coating, then you're exposed to PFOAs and not good stuff, just like with non-anondized teflon. At least, that's what I found when I researched it about 10 years ago. So anodized is safe, but if you scratch it, which you'll likely do, even with careful use, then it's probably best to throw it away and get another.

**Q: Is this compatible with an induction stove top?**
A: No, but you can use an induction interface disk

**Q: I need a lid for this pan.  Any suggestions?**
A: You need a different pan then.  This isn't a pan you put a lid on.
Either way, there isn't a pan that will 'fit' it, only semi-fit since this isn't designed to receive a lid.

On my second attempt, right after I returned the wrong pan that was delivered first; the return process was very smooth and fast. I placed the new order right away. This pan is huge and just what I wanted! I have been using it every day for breakfast and dinner. The material is excellent and sturdy. It is super easy to cook in and wash.
