1 YEAR LATER - UPDATE:-------------------------------------This turned to be a good battery replacement for an old Macbook given its price/performance. I've been using it for exactly 1 year and the battery is at 86% of its designed capacity delivering 2+ hours of juice. On light load it might even give you 3+ hours. (See screenshots).I will definitely recommend it. Hard to find a better one for this model/price range.INITIAL REVIEW ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Hi all, this battery went into an old MacBook 2007 Intel Core 2 Duo CPU 2.10GHz, Intel 965GM Graphics, 4GB RAM and a Samsung SSD drive. Nothing special about the machine as you can read, but it could give you an idea of its configuration to complement your own judgment. For example, as you know the SSD drive uses less power than a conventional 2.5 hard drive, which is what's originally shipped with this computer. This machine runs Ubuntu Linux 14.04 LTS and not OS X. I know power management in OS X is good as well so your experience might come close to mine. During my tests (and I've owned this battery for just a week) I can get 2 hours and 10 min (average) of continuous YouTube video playing before the machine hibernates because battery has drained to critical levels. Doing regular browsing, office work, playing music, you have it, the battery gives me up to 3 hours (maximum in average).I have better control of power settings under Ubuntu 14.04 than that I had in OS X when I first purchased the machine years ago. What I want to share to give you a good idea is not to expect more than 2 hours our of any battery that goes in this price range for the OLD MacBook models.Another thing is the battery capacity; it should hold 50.2 Wh (designed capacity). After few cycles (about 10), the battery is reporting 49.7 Wh. That is in itself 'ok'. To me, the designed capacity is a cosmetic estimate from the manufacturer (maximum designed capacity under perfect conditions) and it might or might not be reachable after real time usage since batteries go through the stress that comes with charges and discharges hence they wear out and that's not even considering the software algorithm used to measure them that can't be 100% accurate.Case in point, I can't claim anything about this battery's life expectancy. If for whatever reason it keeps loosing capacity at this rate I'm ending up with a dead battery pretty soon. If it doesn't turn out to be a boner and it is capable of holding a good percentage of it designed capacity over time, it should keep it powered for about 2 hours per charge cycle. With all and all, considering its price to be brought to my door and the fact that it is actually usable, I will purchase it again if I have to. Your experience may vary so good luck finding a better battery for an old MacBook in the 20ish price range.

So far, a great cheap replacement for my Early 2009 Macbook
UPDATE 6/11/2017I have now put 111 charge cycles on it, and I still get about 3 hours of battery with it. I have noticed that the battery appears to be slightly warped inward so that it is not completely flat. However, I notice no apparent overheating issues. So, as of now, I would still recommend this battery as a good replacement for your MacBook. I will post another update later after I have used it more.ORIGINAL REVIEWMy OEM battery on my early 2009 model Macbook was starting to show it's age by not lasting more than 2 hours on battery. So, I decided that it was time for a replacement since I take this laptop with me to school. I wanted to go with the Anker replacement since I have used their batteries before and had great success with them, but the $55 price tag was a bit more than I wanted to spend. I was hesitant to purchase this battery because I have had bad experiences with these third party, Chinese-made laptop batteries that overheat and in some worst case scenarios can even be a fire hazard. So far, this does not seem to be the case with this LQM Macbook battery. I have not experienced any heat generation from the battery during use or charging, and I seem to get 3-4 hours depending on what I'm doing and the brightness level of the display. I am quite satisified with it so far, but I will update this review at a later time if I experience any issues. The only reason I give this 4 stars instead of 5 is that the color of the battery is not exactly the same as the Macbook body. It is a little bit darker shade of white than the MacBook. It's not overly noticeable, but it definitely is there. The other reason is that the battery is not an exact 100% fit into the slot. Slight cracks around the edges are visible as the body of the battery itself is not entirely flush with the battery slot. This is extremely minor and only a hairline difference, but it is still there and not as fluid a fit as the OEM battery. All in all, you can't beat it for the price. Unless anything changes, I would recommend this battery as a replacement battery for anyone with an A1185 MacBook.

In the process of evaluation -- Finished evaluation.
I am giving it three stars for now. I may revise it up or down. I just got it yesterday, I am waiting to see how it holds a charge and long it will last. The battery fits my late 2007 Mac just fine. The finish is good. It came charged at 50%. The max charge according to the my Mac was 94%. I am running Linux Mint Sonya on my Mac. All the information is from this OS. According to the power statistics page, The battery is designed at 55.0 Whr, and the energy when full is 57.2. As I am reading this off my screen right now, it shows 88% charged equating to 2.9 hours before empty. In actually use, the battery last under an hour if you are watching a video. I was streaming an online course and the screen went blank.I am of the opinion at the moment that it would be a fine battery for non-video use, word processing, reading PDFs and books, web-surfing. Also to conserve battery power, I turned off the blue tooth when not needed. There are better batteries out there from other websites, but they cost between $65 and $90. I decided to get this battery on the rationale, I did not want to put more than $30 into a computer that currently sells for $120 used. I may change my mind later and get a better battery after I see how this one performs within the 30 day return period.UPDATE 19 NOV 2017I decided to return the battery. The battery would charge to 100%, but quickly dissipate. Also, my computer showed that the battery level was at a high state of charge but with a short time to run, e.g., 87% charged and 1 hour of operation or less. Even though, this is a relatively inexpensive battery, I was dissatisfied with the overall performance. My computer however ran fine on it, just not as long as I expected from reading other people's reviews.I still think for the price and performance, a review of three stars is still warranted.
