Love it!
The bellaband works great for me! I bought it at 12 weeks when some of my pants started to get uncomfortable, and this being my first pregnancy, I wasn't sure how long my current clothes would last. I'm now 16 weeks, and have been using it everyday. Honestly, most of my pants will still button, but they're so uncomfortable when I sit, and by the end of the day. The bellaband has been fantastic. It's nice and soft and I no longer have to be uncomfortable. Here are some of my experiences so far: 1. I find it to hold up all of my pants (cotton/polyester/wool work pants and jeans) without any problems. I'm an elementary school teacher, so I'm moving all day long, and have never had a problem with my pants slipping. Make sure that the clear elastic part is on the bottom. Also, I should note that all my pants "fit" in every other area (hips, but, thighs). It may not work as well with pants that are "baggy". 2. There is some bunching/bumps from the buttons/edges of the pants. This is smoothed a little by folding it over, but it's still there. Also, if you're wearing a fitted shirt, you can see a line from the top of the band. I don't think it's that noticeable, and if your shirt doesn't hug your belly, you won't see it at all. 3. I wear a size 4/6 normally, and size 1 fits me perfectly. Also, although my clothes are not fitting well, I am much too small for maternity clothes (people keep talking about how I don't look pregnant yet, even though I feel huge because nothing fits or looks the same on me anymore). If you are big enough to go straight to maternity clothes, I don't know if you would want to invest in the bellaband since it is pretty expensive. Over all, I love and completely recommend this product!

One of the most used maternity item I bought. Worth the price!
I purchased several pants from Motherhood Maternity when I found out I was pregnant (ending the first trimester). Since it was my first pregnancy, I really wasn't sure if I should buy a small or a medium. Do I get fat everywhere? Is it only my belly that grows? I'm normally a medium in other brands, so I bought 2 medium petite and 2 small. I was able to fit comfortably (with ample room!) on the small when I was around 3-4 months pregnant. The medium was on the bigger side. All of them required additional support to stay up even with built-in panels, and that's when I decided to purchase the Bellaband. Initially, I had to fold the maternity panels in half then use this product over them because the panels were quite huge on my still-small belly. That didn't impede the functionality of the Bellaband though. The product definitely held up my maternity pants/jeggings, and even normal winter pants on. I followed the tag for washing it, and it still did its job without issues after. By the 5-6 month mark, the small pants were skin tight (like tight skinny jeans). Not uncomfortable, but I definitely got fat on my thighs and legs. Edema contributed a lot. The Bellaband allowed me to continue wearing the pants. Without it, I would have needed to readjust and lift the pants every 5 minutes. The medium pairs fit nicely, but they still would not have been held up by the built-in panel. The Bellaband was stretchier and thicker. In fact, I accidentally poked a hole on a pants panel when I was putting them on. Again, the Bellaband saved the day because it just covers up the ugly hole. In the end, I was also grateful that I only needed to wash this a few times throughout my pregnancy because the maternity pants panel were able to serve as a barrier between my lotioned-up skin and the product. Pairing this with the maternity pants was NOT a waste of money, in my opinion. Overall, I highly recommend this product. It can hold up all types of ill-fitting pants, hide flaws on the panels, and yet doesn't add to the mountain of laundry you have to do. You can reuse it again and again without soiling if paired with cheap maternity pants with built-in panels. My total cost for my maternity clothes were ~350 dollars. It includes 4 pairs of pants, 3 shorts, 1 dress, 1 top (I was able to use my regular t-shirts), 3 types of maternity belts (a smaller stretchy one for the 2nd trimester, a bigger one for the 3rd trimester and a vaginal support one for days with edema) and 12 pairs of compression socks, and, of course, the Bellaband.

Does a decent job for a decent price.
I bought this in late February 2016 when I was 7 weeks pregnant and already a little uncomfortable in my size 16 jeans; I started pregnancy around 200 pounds, so I kind of expected jean troubles early. I wanted to stretch my wardrobe because I'm on a serious budget, and I thought this was one of the best ways to save some cash. I followed the size chart carefully and picked up a black bella band. I like it a lot - what an ingenious idea! It does feel like it's a little big, as I expected it to be tighter, but I think it will feel a bit more snug on my belly later in my pregnancy. I'm now at 11 weeks and just starting to show. I typically wear dress pants to work (try NY&Co's 7th Avenue Design Studio Knit Pant; they are dress-pant sweat-pants and they are fabulous), so I only use the bella band occasionally thus far. I've used it comfortably and successfully several times with my size 16 jeans held closed with a hair-thing and a couple times with my jeans wide open, partly unzippered. The thin strip of elastic does a surprisingly nice job holding things together and staying put up front, so if how thin it is throws you off when you open the package, don't be discouraged - at least give it a go while walking around the house cleaning or something and do the fold over as instructed. It just looks like a layering cami. I do find myself sneaking a peek down there often, though, because I'm paranoid it will slip and expose me, but so far it hasn't except that it does sometimes ride up my backside, which is a bit annoying. I still like it though because REGULAR camis will ride up your backside a bit, so as long as it is really staying put where it's supposed to be hiding your open pants, I think it's still a worthwhile product. The only thing I would NOT suggest is trying to use it to hold up pants that were too small BEFORE pregnancy began. I had the brilliant idea that I could get away with my size 14 black skinny jeans that I hadn't been able to wear for quite some time with this nifty contraption, but alas... It's not bella band's fault though - those jeans had no business being on me and I knew it. I'm sure it'll work through pregnancy and beyond for whatever I'm comfortably wearing BEFORE I became pregnant, but not for the jeans I wished I still fit in. Theoretically, though, if I started losing weight after I give birth and got myself a lot closer to an actual size 14, this bella band could easily be used as a transition to smaller pants. I'll edit my review further along in my pregnancy and include some pictures when I do. I want to test it out with other types of pants, at different stages of pregnancy.

Awesome product - when you've got the right size.
When I was first pregnant with my eldest, they didn't have anything like this and I was in clunky and mostly ugly maternity clothes, because I'm way too cheap to buy the "expensive" stuff that will only get a years worth of use out of it! With my 2nd, 2 1/2 years later, I found the Bellaband and whew. I love it. I'm in the process of buying another one for my current pregnancy because as we creep into warmer weather here in Maine, baggy clothing can't hide the fact that my pants just don't fit like they should. Now, what size should you get?! Let me help. If you have a tiny shape with zero hips -- Size 1 fits pre-preggo pants size 0 - 8 Size 2 fits size 10 - 14 Size 3 fits size 16 - 22 Size 4 fits 24+ If you have curvy hips but a smaller waist, plan on a sizing up a bit... Size 1 fitting 0 - 6, size 2 = 8 - 12, size 3 = 14 - 20, size 4 = 22+ and if you're pregnant with multiples, go up even further; Size 1 = 0 - 2 Size 2 = 4 - 8 Size 3 = 10 - 16 Size 4 = 18+ For hands-on reference, I'm 5'3, 140lbs (non-pregnant) and fall right between size 8 & 10 depending on the pants (I have them childbearin' hips), so I bought a size 2. It works fantastically. Enough give and stretch to the material to make it comfortable but sturdy enough to keep my belly supported and keep my pants from falling down. (With my first pregnancy I gained 30lbs, with my 2nd I gained 23lbs, and so far I'm 25 weeks and change and have gained 18lbs -- the bellaband stretches with you!)

It's useable & gets the job done
I waited about a little over a week to do this review so I could be as accurate and honest as possible. I'll start with the short list & below that will be the full details if you care. My stats: 27-weeks (6.5mos) -- started using at 25weeks 5'11" Pre-Preg size: 8/10 (29) pants, Sm dress, Sm shirts Pre-Preg Measurements: 36-26-39 Maternity Pants: I have (2) pair of HM size 12 skinny jeans that fit perfect 1st baby, all belly Size Ordered: 2 Pros: - Hides that my pre-preg pants are unbuttoned and/or unzipped - Good stretch to the material for a growing bump - Nice fold down option for the smaller bump - Smooth appearance under a shirt, even when folded - Doesn't roll if you pull it down to just below the belt loop Cons: - Strong chemical smell out of package - "chemical" made me itch uncontrollably & feel nauseated - After hand washing to release chemical the fit is not as good Details: I finally purchased this item after a day a work where a coworker laughingly pointed out my that "rubber band through the button & hole" hack was no longer working because my zipper was no longer staying up, but she was impressed that even pregnant I was still wearing beautiful undies. LoL!! **I'm not longer embarrassed because I've been naked in front of so many doctors & nurses throughout this high risk pregnancy that it doesn't even matter anymore.** Anyway, I received the package direct from Amazon in the Igrid & Isabel packaging & since I was about to head out I was excited to wear it right away because that meant I could wear my pre-preggo pants & would have a lot more outfit options. I opened the package & was greeted with a VERY strong chemical smell. I haven't had much sensitivity to smell, but asked for a 2nd opinion, my friend said it smelled like it came straight from a factory in China. I set it outside to air while I did my makeup and then got dressed. When I put it on, I didn't smell it much, and my initial impression was that it fit PERFECT. It was fitted all over, but there was clearly enough stretchable room to grow into. Unfortunately after about 3-hours I was feeling nauseous, slightly dizzy, and my stomach & the skin touching the band was itching like CRAZY. It was definitely the chemicals from the Bellaband. Now, I've never had an irritation to any materials or chemicals in the fabrics. I wear anything from forever 21, H&M, guess, seven for all mankind, it doesn't matter as long as it fits & has a cute style. THIS was a problem! I got home & my stomach was red from all the scratching, but no visible skin irritation. I immediately put it in the sink with cool water to hand wash it (see photos), I expected to see black dye run out--as per usual with cheap clothes, but what I saw was shocking. THE WATER TURNED YELLOW. Like country time lemonde yellow. Whatever chemical was it it was running out. I snapped a couple photos, then added laundry soap. To my surprise, no black dye ran out. Only yellow. I did a number of washes & rinses until the water was virtually clear & no more yellow (probably 4 or 5 hand washes) and let it air dry. I wore it again 2days later and it didn't fit the same. The bottom has a clear maybe silicone/rubber "banded line" that grips the clothes & keeps a nice snug fit, however the top half that covers my upper belly is baggy now. Even when folded the top half is a bit big. I know that I'll grow into it eventually, but I likely won't fit into my pre-preggo jeans once my belly gets that big, so it kind of defeats the purpose. I also took a photo in a fitted non-maternity tank top so you can see it does have some use. Without the band, the top would otherwise roll up & and my unbuttoned pants would def be exposed. The lines under the shirt are all from the band bring folded & no longer "fitted" at the top.

Life saver, sanity saver, and wardrobe saver!
These Bella Bands are amazing! Miles ahead of the cheaper bands that I used before this one- they either didn't stay put, rolled over, rolled down or the fabric was just cheap and didn't hide in buttoned pants or zippers. Bella band stays put, never rolls and hides it all -even those dreaded pregnancy love handles that arrive. I LOVE the silicone around the inside bottom seam that helps the band stay put. It fits very well (pre-pregnancy I was 5'4 and 128lbs - now I'm closer to 147 at almost 6 months pregnant). I bought the size 1 around size 13 weeks and I am still using the same band at 24 weeks. The material is wonderfully stretchy but not the bad, flimsy-loose- stretchy like so many other bands are made with. It goes back to it original shape after every wear or wash. My favorite way to wear the band is folded down over itself because it really conceals the little bulge of the unbuttoned pants and zipper - it always provides great coverage and helps support your bump. I wash a line dry and sometimes just tumble dry. it always cleans up great- no fading, shrinking or breakdown of the silicone rubber around the seam. These helped me to be able to still wear my favorite jeans, shorts and other clothing throughout my pregnancy. Even after going out and buying maternity pants, I still find myself using my Bella band over everything else because of how great it works and how comfortable it is. Such a great product! Buy yourself a few, you won't regret it!

Must Have for Pregnant Women
I am reviewing this for my wife. As she has grown in size during pregnancy she has been unable to fit her clothes like she used to and more specifically her work clothes. These bands have been great because my wife wasn’t forced to go out and buy all new work clothes that she would only be able to use for pregnancy. Now she can use her normal pants with the Bellabands without investing in a whole new wardrobe. They feel well made and although they feel very tight and restrictive for me when I lightly stretch them, she likes the comfort. On the inside of the bands there is a strip of a more tacky liner that helps to hold onto the pants so you are not relying strictly on the compression of the elastic. She did at one point try and buy elastic fitting pregnancy clothes but she had an impossible time finding anything in her size at the stores and when she ordered online she got a lot of stuff that just didn’t fit well. I know my wife is very glad we got these and I think this is a must have for expecting mothers who would like to save money and not worry about buying new clothes.

... on Amazon and without trying any others I would easily choose this brand again
I picked the BellaBand after reading all the reviews for similar products on Amazon and without trying any others I would easily choose this brand again. I used the advise listed in other comments and got the size small in black (I wore size 4-6 pants pre-pregnancy). It's a little snug around the hips (I've always been pretty curvy), though I think that helps it stay put and might eventually keep the pants from sliding down, but as I get bigger I wonder if it will be uncomfortable or start to roll up when I sit. If/when I get another, I'll probably get a size up so I have the options, and also take the opportunity for another color! It also seems that the slightly tighter size holds the belly firmer, snugging it in a little and perhaps securing for exercise, though again might become a little too snug over time. There's a somewhat sticky band around the inside of what I hope is the "bottom" (no instructions included) that hugs the hips and keeps it in place, and the top is a stretchier material that you can wear up over your belly or fold down over your pants. Unless you're wearing a bulky or baggy shirt, I imagine you'd have to roll it down to hide the fact that your pants are undone, otherwise the bumps of the button, etc will likely show through a tight/thin shirt. When all is said and done, it looks like you're wearing a long layered undershirt. One minor complaint is it's very futzy when you have to use the bathroom (every 30-45 minutes). You flip it up out of the way, and then it's a total fuss to figure out which side is the bottom and then reconfigure the whole thing and your pants and everything. It's no big deal, but you need a little extra time to manage that and can be totally confusing depending on your current state of mind. :) I also wish they had more colors. Not to say they don't have a variety of colors, just not colors that work with my wardrobe. Why does no one make brown? What about green or purple? They're all black, white, grey, and for some reason, nude... Sort of a bummer there. All and all, though, it was a great recommendation and I'm glad I got it when I did - just in time (16 weeks)!!

Product is good, but only 1 item (not 2 as advertised)
I bought this bellyband at 4 months pregnant to support my pregnancy as I did not want to replace all my pants with maternity leggings. Note that you will only receive ONE (1) item, and not 2 as advertised, which was disappointing. The product itself functions well, and holds the elasticity just right for me now at 6 months. I am size XS (UK Size 6, US size 0 or 0P) and use size 1 based on the instructions. Given how it hold on me, I would suggest anyone UK size 10 onwards to upsize as the band may be very stretched at uncomfortable level - this does not happen to me yet. It is easy to put on, and does not pressure my belly which is a plus. Overall I am happy with the product, but pricey for only 1 item.

Great for early pregnancy and useful to be able to wear pre-pregnancy clothes after bump appears
A very useful product, especially for early pregnancy and the first appearance of the bump. This belly band seems to uniquely have a silicone strip to grip to your trousers. Now that I am 21 weeks I don't find it comfortable enough for everyday wear, because having unzipped trousers plus a belly band leads to a lot of bulk around the hips, which makes my bump feel weird. However, this band saved me when I had to go to a formal work meeting as I could still wear my nice trousers, just with the band covering the unzipped top! Otherwise I would have had to try to get some formal pregnancy trousers, which seems like a waste for occasional use.

Lifesaver
I was already familiar with the bella band from my previous job at a maternity store, so this was the first maternity item I ordered after I got pregnant. It's fantastic. I started wearing it around 12 weeks when I could still button up my pants, but they were feeling a bit snug. It's not really *necessary* when you're only leaving your top button undone, but I liked that it kind of smoothed everything out so that my button area wasn't popping out under my shirts. I'm now 28 weeks and still using the bella band to wear my pre-pregnancy pants. At this point, I can't zip up my pants at all, but since they still fit my hips and butt fine, I can continue to wear them with the bella band. I even wear it with my one pair of maternity jeans, because it holds them in place. Preparing for babies is expensive, and it's hard to justify buying a whole new wardrobe when you're only going to be wearing those clothes for a few months.

Very comfortable! Lots of stretch!
This product came nicely packaged and shipped very quickly. Has a lot of stretch while still giving a small amount of support, it really smooths things out. I started using it in week 16 of my pregnancy and it has plenty of room to stretch and grow with me! I am usually a size 16 pre-pregnancy pant size and the size 3 is perfect. I was most worried about it riding down on me while working a high activity job (veterinary technician) but it stays put!
