Question 2

Most of the reviews are about fine lines. I want to know if this works for acne marks and hyperpigmentation? I've purple-pink acne marks, will it help

Hello.  I have battled with acne my entire life and still do. My acne has been moderate but slightly more severe here recently, I'm 24. I would suggest this product but not for acne scars, the only thing I've found that works so far is bio oil. I used it every day sometimes twice a day just before bed and at the start of day. I'm not gunna lie it's greasy as hell use it fresh out of the shower and/or right after washing your face. I was impressed with the results, my skin had a slightly more youthful appearance and a significantly smoother look which u know makes a world of difference lol. Now for discoloration I use an all natural method a lil weird but a potato. Slice a thin layer off each day and rub the juice all over especially on the effected area. Google it! Potatoes have a chemical in them that stops hyper pigmentation that causes the dark marks but won't bleach your skin. Sorry this was so long but this is what works for me thanx.

Niacinamide is the chemical form of niacin (B3).  Niacinamide does not do the same thing that niacin does.  Why not use the real thing?

There is an article online from FutureDerm.com that has some helpful information that should answer your question along with the other customers comments.    "The main disadvantage of Niacin is that when applied topically, it has an unpleasant and undesirable side effect of intense vasodilation or skin flushing, which is mediated by the release of prostaglandin D2. Furthermore, because Niacin has even more side effects when administered orally (including alterations in blood pressure, pulse, and/or body temperature), there are significantly fewer studies that document topical Niacin as compared to Niacinamide...  Niacin has definitely been shown to facilitate epidermal barrier function, wound healing, and keratinocyte differentiation. However, Niacinamide has also been shown to do these things (except wound healing), in addition to improving so many other common skin conditions such as sallowness, hyperpigmentation, and irritation. Furthermore, Niacinamide is present in significantly higher amounts of products, indicating a wider choice in selection, and elicits very few if any negative reactions.
