I found these Poron insoles on Amazon - they are super thin and have brown felt on one side
Despite my relative youth, I have one bum knee and the other's passed out on skid row. When I bought my first pair of real dress shoes (as opposed to dressy shoes with thick springy ribber soles), I found that I couldn't walk in them more than a couple blocks before my knees started hurting, not to mention my heels, rom the shock of those hard heels on pavement. Sometimes my teeth actually started hurting.Unfortunately, most comfort insoles are too bulky to fit in dress shoes. Even the ones that don't crowd the toes raise the heel too high above the counter for me. Not long after spending $135 putting rubber soles on a pair of Allen Edmonds, I found these Poron insoles on Amazon - they are super thin and have brown felt on one side. Despite how crazy thin they are, they are amazingly shock absorbing. I mean, if I'm going be walking all day I still grab a rubber sole shoe with a full orthotic, but these really do allow me to walk across town in comfort and style.

Unbelievable Comfort
Have worn combat boots and athletic shoes all my life and have gone through zillions of types of insoles. Nothing even begins to match how great this stuff is. Purchased a pair of Danner RAT boots and the insole was made from Poron. The feel was so good I went looking for insoles made of it for my other footwear. Nowhere to be found. Then I discovered the sheets of it here on Amazon and with a scissors I had insoles. A pair per sheet of Poron and cheaper than Spencos (which was always my choice before). I now have Poron in boots, casual shoes, athletic shoes, dress shoes since you trim it to any size you want. Don't be fooled by the apparent thinness of the Poron. You will not feel the sole of your shoe. Oh to have found this stuff for Basic Training in 1975!

feels a little better
For Timberland Groveton fashion sneaker, which has a flat insole, no arch support. I won't be using it much, just to weddings and such. I don't like leather goods.Poron insoles make it feel a bit better. Again there is no arch support with these. I had to use double side tape. These insoles just slipped and couldn't put the shoes on.

Inexpensive, and you get what you pay for.
The markings for larger sizes (in my case W 10-10.5 / M 8-8.5) are ambiguous, and when I cur on what I *thought* was the right line for me, they came out too small. They are also not wide enough. And they slide around in my shoes. :(

They're okay not great
A nurse friend recommended these to help during my workouts. They are supposed to be great for impact moves like jumping and running. I really didn't feel any difference than the insole provided in the shoes. They made my toes feel strange and my feet still felt tired.

Poron and Rogers Corp are state of the art in impact absorbing materials
Poron and Rogers Corp are state of the art in impact absorbing materials -look them up. I'm happy with the insoles - bought 3 for my 3 main shoes I use and will be getting more soon for a couple of other less used shoes.

Careful when cutting it if you wear a wide shoe!
Something every buyer should be aware, when cutting it: The men's cut is for a "D" width. If you wear a wide shoe, cut the part near the heel bigger, or the insole will float in the shoe.Overall, it's OK, a bit thinner than I expected and a bit floppier (doesn't hold its shape too well).

Like new again
I placed these under a removable insole on my new Timberland boat shoes. It really improved the worn insole. Use the existing insole for cutting template.

Alleviating foot pain, but concerned about longevity.
I purchased these insoles for my father, who has to stand up a lot at work. He was having severe pains on the balls of his feet (possibly metatarsalgia) in his safety shoes, which have structural insoles that slope downward toward the toe, causing his feet to slide down on to his metatarsals and creating excessive pressure. I took notice of his cheap, dollar store insoles consistently having significant wear and holes at the said areas, so I decided to do some research for some solutions. He's been using these for a few weeks and he says that the pain is gradually going away and that they're fairly comfortable. In terms of wear and tear, it's a little early to tell how long these will maintain their shape or quality, especially with his profuse sweating, but, they're certainly helping in alleviating foot pain and will definitely last longer than the cheap insoles that he used to have.+ Fast shipping to Toronto, Canada (3 days from Needham, Massachusetts).- With the label side up (rubber-like texture), the insoles would slide down his shoes and bunch up at his toes. He ended up flipping the insoles, opting to have the felt sides up, which solved this problem. It's probably not optimal, considering the felt sides are probably designed to be contacting the shoes' insoles, but, he's going to experiment with them and see.- They seem to have lost a little bit of resistance after a couple of weeks and are therefore easier to compress, which is not necessarily a good thing. It could mean they start becoming gradually easier to fully compress, providing less and less 'cushioning' and becoming hard as rocks and or flat as paper. That said, it's difficult to tell how long these will last. Hopefully, it's worthwhile.I'll update this review later.Update: Fell apart after 2 months. Still, it did help relieve foot pain for a while.
