This pump sucks....in a good way
I got this pump for remote watering of fruit trees and food plots. I hook it up to a 55gal drum, and it will empty the drum in 10-15 minutes of ran straight thru the hose, no sprayer or nizzle attached. I also use it to to feed a pressure washer for remote watering of the food plots. I know it sounds funny, but you gotta do what you gotta do to keep your plot alive and kicking in this crazy heat that we've been having. So far, the pump has worked flawlessly. The only con I have is that the portion of the pump where the hoses attach is made out of a nylon type plastic. I worry about thread wear and impact resistance on that part of the unit. I have installed quick connects on the inlet and outlet ports on the pump to prevent thread wear and provide a little protection. Anyways, it's a great pump, and so far it has been working great. I've probably got 15 hours of use on it at the moment. I'm sure it will last a while. It really moves some water with a quickness, and the battery clamps are perfect for quick setup.

Best little pump out there
Have this mounted to my inner starboard gunwale for 3 purposes: 1) A backup emergency high capacity bilge pump. 2) a wash down pump for when were are done fishing 3) Also to draw in lake water to my fish coolers as needed.Great self primer, a little noisy, but if you are a real man on a real fishing boat, what is a little noise? No whiners allowed. LOLCaptain Carl highly recommends.

The strainer was nice but it is stuck in the sticky mud of ...
we use it on our farm to pump water either out of a barrel or our pond to irrigate plants too far away to water conventionally. The pump works relatively well but has definite limitations when you're pumping water uphill. The strainer was nice but it is stuck in the sticky mud of our pond. It would have been better had it been screwed onto the hose instead of having a slip-fit connection. It has performed without much trouble not that it is directly wired into our farm utility vehicle's electrical system.

Keep looking......
It ran for 20 minutes, then started making noise and smoking. Would not recommend.

It’s convenience
I love the convenience of having running water from my pond. I connect this to my solar powered battery in the middle of the field and I can draw water to my garden.
