Husqvarna Outdoor Power Equipment Automower 450Xh Robotic Lawn Mower

This mower is amazing. I’ll be honest it takes a bit to install and figure out just what all it will run into. It took a good month of it running into things to figure out low spots etc. We also have it mowing just over an acre and now we filled in the spots that caused it to stop, we’ve had zero issues. It’s quiet and it’s been so nice not having to mow the front yard! We plan to buy two more eventually!

Arrived as stated, it is my new addition to existing 3 Husqvarna Auto-mowers 430XH, 450XH, 310. Have these mowing little over 2.5 acres. Love them gives me back 3.5hrs of my life each week to do something else.

When we unpacked the unit, it was missing the low voltage power cable. After we installed the entire set up, the mower chrged but the indicator LED would not light up and the charging station said no loop detected and there is no trouble shooting explanation for this and there is no one to call at the mfg to consult.

I’m so happy. Nothing is perfect, but if you pay attention, take your time, you can have this thing free up a great deal of time for you. Great machine.

I have had a robot mower for the last 5 years. My first mower was an Ambrogio that lasted 4 seasons but I was unwilling to continue to pay for repairs and parts. In 2019 I purchased the 450xh and have it now cutting my entire yard including two fenced areas in my back yard. Installation is the most important aspect to successful lawn cutting. I had my original Ambrogio mower professionally installed and then made a few modifications to the layout to account the husqvarna automower. I now have it crossing my driveway and going through two fence gates I purchased. I have a very complicated yard albeit it only 1/3 of an acre in a suburban subdivision. I’m pretty fussy about my lawn and other than having stripes, I couldn’t be happier with the results and time saving the automower has provided.

I purchased this 450XH from Super Sod last week. We have a front and back lawn each about 8,000 sq ft. The front lawn is very shaded while the back has full sun so we have tall fescue in front and bermuda at the back. The vendor laid out two areas for us. The mower cannot go to the secondary area automatically so I have to pick it up each time to start mowing and bring it back to the charging station when the battery runs out. It takes at least two full charges to mow each area so it is not an automated situation. The blade cuts about 4" wide. The second issue is that the blade is protected by a disc with a circular hole. If the grass is too wide for this small hole and does not poke through, the blade will not cut it. So broadleaf weeds like dollar weeds are not cut. The third issue is that the return guide for the mower within the main area runs across the entire lawn and is laid at about 1" deep. I usually aerate my tall fescue lawn once a year. The vendor suggested that I mark out the guide line and then avoid breaking the guide line while aerating. This is quite impossible because my aerator runs behind my gas mower and is 4' across. The only get around this is to switch to liquid aeration - another caveat emptor!

We have one and will never look back. Installed it ourselves.....in our 60s and 70s......big yard. Happy not to be out in the Virginia summer heat. Our yard has never looked better, and it is a great conversation piece for our neighbors.

In less than one year of ownership, one of the wheels has fallen off twice, and the cutting disc underneath became completely detached from the blades. You spend $3500 on this thing, and it can't keep itself together through MINIMAL use. And Husqvarna appears to go out of their way to make sure you don't get to use a warranty claim, meaning your $3500 isn't even the last of your spending on this thing. Whatever you do, buy another company's product - it's likely less expensive, higher quality, and better customer service.
