Dimensions , Rainbow Flowers, PaintWorks Paint by Numbers Kit for Adults and Kids, 14'' x 11'

This was a real joy to paint. I loved how the paints are in a solid container, and all contained. Easy to dip into and plenty of paint. It was a beautiful picture and the advanced painting techniques they suggested really made a difference. This is not canvas, but a cardboard printed piece. The paints dry very quickly because it's not a canvas. Beautiful paint colors!

This was my first paint by number kit. It took quite a few hours to do, I worked on it for over a month. There was alot of small areas and some did not have numbers clearly marked so I guessed. It was alot of fun but there are alot of colors that you have to mix 2 colors together to get the color and that is very annoying and very time consuming. I did purchase additional paint brushes since it only came with 1 and there are many small areas. All of the paints except 1 were of good quality, one was lumpy and even after adding water it was still lumpy and needed about 10 coats to go over the numbers. The painting board is thick cardboard like material and is very good (not canvas). There was plenty of paint with some left over. The box was also very nice so perfect for a gift. Since it took many many hours, there are many small areas, and there is alot of paint mixing, I would only recommend for adults with patience, not children or teens.

I bought this as a sort of joke Xmas stocking-stuffer present for my wife, who had mentioned that she wanted a 'color by numbers' as a child but never got it. In fact, it was the wrong thing - she meant colored pencils, not paints. Nevertheless, she had a go at it and the results are not half bad. The lightly-textured artboard is a bit thin and tends to curl, you might want to mount it on a stiff substrate before you begin. The paints are good quality acrylics with plenty of pigment and easily cover in one coat. The colors are bright and consistent. Acrylic is a difficult medium, because it dries fast but the advantage is that you can very easily correct edge mistakes. Edge blending can be difficult, but the painting has a pleasing graphic print quality Acrylic is also relatively thick, and some areas of the painting are very narrow lines, dots etc. The paintbrush supplied with the kit is very thin, but still a tad too wide for some details. Buy a small pack of assorted bruhes and make sure that at least one is narrower than the brush supplied in the kit. For narrow areas, thin the acrylic in a mixing tray with a little water and buid up several coats. You must mix paints to make some of the colors. This can be very difficult to do consistently with small pots of paint. First, identify all the areas that require a mixed color. If there are many such areas, group them into regoins and do one region at a time Mix no more than a few drops from each pot. I recommend a using narrow drinking straw as a pipette to draw up a drop of paint that you can puff into the mixing plate. Mark the straw about 1/4 inch with an indelible marker. Use a clean straw for each color and use your brush to wipe paint off the paint on the the exterior of the straw. That will give you a pretty good 50-50 mix. On the whole, this is a nice little hobby toy for older kids and adults, well made and reasonably priced.

The dog in this painting looks just like my beloved dog Maggie. And she used to stand on our dock just like in the painting. My Maggie has since passed away but I can look at this painting of her in my living room every day.....

I have completed a few paint by number from Dimensions brand and they are my favorite. The paint is great quality compared to any other brand. Love the Koi image and the #11 dark green is used a lot. I want to point out they will send you more paint for free and there is a number to call on the instruction diagrams. I finally learned why there are 2 numbers on all the paint pots. The first number corresponds to the picture you are working on. The number in parentheses is for the color itself and if you call and tell them that number they will send you more paint. Love them!

This was so much fun. I enjoyed every minute of it. A couple things - first, keep the box, because some of the spaces were unmarked, and I had to use the box to figure out what color it was supposed to be. Second, don't be upset if the colors on your painting don't match the box exactly, because when you mix the colors to get the right shade, it could be slightly different than what's on the box - but it's still going to look great! The numbers were easy to read on this one, and there weren't too many super tiny spaces, so it's the perfect one for a beginner. Oh, and while the brush they include works just fine, I do highly recommend getting a couple of smaller brushes for the finer details. I did not run out of any paint before I completed the painting. I had a ton leftover in most of the colors.

I had never painted before, and thought I'd try this during the quarantine. I LOVE it! I am inclined to be crafty - I've crocheted and scrapbooked before - and I love art and music, but I can't draw or paint at all. This kit is super easy. I like it because it is on a board rather than canvas, which I think made it easier for a beginner like me and you can just get right down to painting without worrying about dealing with working on getting and keeping the canvas flat. It is super relaxing and creative. I would say it does require a lot of patience. There is a lot of detail work. So, in my experience, you do have to be willing to work in a detailed, slow pace. I thought I'd add some tips I found helpful: I had to order very small detail brushes to do the detail work. Like, size 0/4 paintbrush, anything larger was too large for the small spaces. It helped me to turn the board upside down or on its side get at some of the angles. I found I needed very little paint on the brush, less than I thought. I hope you enjoy painting this scene as much as I do!

I’ve been working on this paint by number and so far I love it the most compared to others I have used. The brush that comes with is stays fine and pointy, the paint is really good quality and pretty colors. I just wish for the price of it, that it had a frame

Because I did not receive a tracking number it was difficult to follow my parcel. When I did receive a number I felt in control. The tracking app said expect delivery on 9th March. The postman delivered it on 5th March. The best option would have been for it to be sent to Amazon pick up point. This was not an option. I loved the picture having seen it completed by other PBN fans. The product was exactly as expected and in my opinion good value for money, now its up to me. I am looking forward to completing the painting.
