There is not one negative thing to say about this cable. As always, Monoprice delivers high quality. The cable is thick, but very pliable. The molded ends are well made and very substantial. The ends are gold plated. And when plugged in, the connections are very firm, to insure uninterrupted trouble free data transfer. In my opinion, at even double the price, Monoprice is the best economically priced cable you can buy. Their cables always exceed expectations on all points. Some sellers use the Monoprice name, then send you a poor quality substitute. It's happened to me. All Monoprice brand cables are in a sealed bag with their name, item number, and "Monoprice" is in very small letters on the male end of the cable. Without that, it's a fake. I would bet that if the low reviewers looked for this on their cables, they are fakes. Some might say, "What's the big deal, it's just a cable". To which I say, if you're paying the same price for the inferior cable, doesn't it make sense to choose the superior one. I have a number of Monoprice cables, and a few "not monoprice", Monoprice cables. I have never received a bad real Monoprice or had one fail on me. To be sure that that you will get a genuine monoprice cable, consider my buying criteria below. Since I started, I have always received the Monoprice brand. FINAL WORD FOR 100% CLARITY BEFORE ORDERING: Having Monoprice in the title or "By Monoprice" is not enough to insure it's genuine. Its a USB cable, it works for charging and Data, it was cheap. Do you need a Mini-B cable? Do you have 3 and a half bux? Get this cable. Don't need a mini-B? Dont know what a USB IS? Dont have 3.5$? Why are you even reading this?

I purchased this cable x2 for different vehicles' dash cam. Most dash cam 12V cables don't carry high wattage for fast charging so I replace them with 12V multi-ported plugs so I can use the dash cam and use another port for smartphones' quick charging. This cable is reliable and stable. The caveat is its thicker total wire gauge and thus less pliable in bending sharp curves inside the vehicle while running and trying to hide the cable. In fact there are places I couldn't hide the cable unlike the original camera cable because of how thick this is.
