Cat attractor
I love the PureBites shrimp cat treats...because the cats love it! Especially the feral kitten I am taming. The freeze-dried shrimp are small, so I give several at a time as a treat. As a human "owner", I like that the treat is just shrimp...no filler. Cats need protein, and I prefer my cat treats to be high in protein. So the shrimp fit the bill. The fact that the kitten (and all the other cats) likes the shrimp makes it even better. There is a slight fishy odor when you open the package, but it is not at all unpleasant. The shrimp themselves have only a faint odor. It's certainly enough to get the cats' noses going when I open the pouch. The shrimp also make a nice sound when I shake the bag. I've been looking for a treat that my mostly-formerly-feral kitten really likes. She is hand-shy, and I'm using treats to teach her that hands bring good things. She liked this treat enough that I went out and bought a bunch more. The only down-side is that the package contains a fair amount of shrimp fragments as well as whole shrimp. That isn't a problem when putting a small pile of treats in front of a cat, but only the whole shrimp work when reaching out to the kitten - the fragments are too small. The other cats are happy to eat the fragments, so that isn't a problem. All in all, I am very happy with this nutritious cat treat.

I’ve never seen my cat get this excited about treats before.
My cat is not food motivated, like a lot of other cats out there, but she goes bananas for these. It’s been hard finding ones she likes and I guess she just happens to be a connoisseur. These are great, there’s nothing else in them besides the protein, and my cat loves them. The only downside is I have to break them down cos she’s a princess and have to wash my hands afterwards cos they stink. But it’s fish, so it is what it is. No complaints and a happy kitty!!

Cat's Food Addictions
My cat is obsessive with these treats. It's almost a curse! He get pissy about me not giving them out to him 24/7.. He would push an old lady down stairs to get to these treats. And he's the picky panda that gags at stuff he doesn't like, Lord. If It was delivered to my front door, haha, he would appear out of the woodwork and like ride a magic carpet to get thru the door if necessary. I only take a star off, cause you have to cut them up thru a lot of concrete-hard pieces before giving them to the floofs. I wised up and do it ahead of time with the whole pack and put it in a glass jar. they're really smelly, so my crackhead cat will not leave the bag alone. Head-up, It takes a good 30mins to prep. Is worth it thou, because my cat thinks it is the best thing ever, and dislikes waiting for me to hand them out correctly.

Yummy, Improve Behavior, Stimulate Appetite
My cat eats the shrimp out of my hand as a special treat. He knows what it means when I call, “Who wants a special treat?” And he comes running to the kitchen. I also use the shrimp for behavioral training. My cat gladly tolerates tooth brushing, bathing, claw clipping, eye drops, etc., in order to earn a plate of shrimp. I will keep the bag in view so he knows he’ll be earning shrimp and so that he can smell them too. My cat has become a champion, for the most part, LOL. We’re still working on how long he’ll tolerate the bath before he starts to struggle. Otherwise, he’s learned to accept everything else. My guess is that my cat enjoys the natural salty flavor and heavy odor of the shrimp. Although the bag is lightweight, there are a lot of individual pieces of shrimp, so it goes a long way. It’s a good value for the money, I think. These shrimp are also useful when my cat has a respiratory infection and loses his sense of smell making him uninterested in eating, because he’ll still be able to smell the shrimp. So I simply add shrimp as a topper to his regular food, and then he eats.

CHOKING HAZARD!
This is a very Honest review! Please read! I unfortunately did not read prior to my purchase. This product is Salmon scraps meaning lots of skin and no consistency of cut so pieces are sharp, skin is tough like wood and unbreakable by hand major choking hazard. My cat loves the taste so I go through each piece to assure she will not choke. I will never buy these again and recommend if you make the purchase go through each piece before feeding to your cat. This product is not worth the money.

Quality of this product has gone down significantly
The quality has definitely gone way downhill, the last three bags were all the same very poor quality and basically nothing but skin and fish dust, I had to cancel my subscription. I have a very firm three strike rule policy! This is normally a great product but the last bag I opened was nearly all skin and dust. I am hoping this was a fluke and not how future purchases will be. I would have given five stars if the quality of this bag was not so bad. Hope future purchases are back up to the standard it previously was!

Hands down, my cat's absolute favourite treat. She's begun tearing around the house like a wild dervish when she hears the shrimp jar lid. And I love that they're quite healthy! Very low calorie, no fillers, no dyes, no preservatives - which is very hard to find in cat treats. Each shrimp is incredibly light, so you actually get more treats than you might think, despite the low weight. When will you begin making a larger bag?

They smell like arse and cats love them. Hold yourself nose or you may regret it, it takes a strong stomach to dig I. And grab one but your kitty will love you for it.

My kitten is VERY picky and this was the only treat that she ever liked. And I was so excited that it was only one ingredient.
