I could definitely feel the Garnier BB cream on my face, and I don't think it made that much of a difference. It also didn't claim to have long-term benefits for your skin, it seemed to be basically a tinted moisturizer with sunblock that they slapped the name "BB cream" on.When I made the decision to buy Too Faced Beauty Balm, I did a little research first. Looking at their other products and the ingredients they use, I did notice that they seemed to put in more things that would create long-term benefits and take care of my skin, such as chamomile or Vitamins A and E. I also made sure that they labeled their BB cream as "antiaging" and claimed long-term benefits, because if a product doesn't outright claim it, it probably doesn't live up to your expectations as a BB cream.Now for my experience with it:I think I won't be buying anything else other than this cream! At first, it seemed like a corner of my mouth broke out in a small rash because of it, but after a couple weeks it went away. I assume my skin got used to it, which is good, because this stuff makes my skin look like a model. I do have to add that I have pretty good skin, not great skin, to begin with - I break out sometimes, but not often, because I'm 23 and over puberty.You only need a pea-sized amount for each half of your face and forehead, and a pea-sized amount for your nose and chin together - I bought this 2 months ago and I think it's going to last me for about another month, so even though the price tag is a bit high for me, it's doable.After I smooth on the cream, my pores seem to get unbelievably small or vanish, and my skin takes on a nice healthy-looking glow, and it definitely evens out my face color as it claims (so that my face is a nice, even shade, and gives it a nice natural look). I have freckles, and I can tell that they fade a bit when I put it on, so it's probably good to cover some light blemishes too, especially if you put foundation over this. When I put on foundation over this, it makes the application smoother and more even. But foundation is not even be necessary if you're going for a natural look, but don't want to leave the house without some makeup or nice natural coverage on your face. It really does give your skin a wonderful glow, and not shiny, which is good because I despise sparkles and oiliness in makeup. I'm more of a fan of a matte finish. Too Faced does a great job with their variety of shades - I was able to match my skin accurately by looking for examples of what it looks like on people's skin on YouTube.I have to also mention that I know it has a slight, pleasant smell to it, but I don't even remember what it smells like, so it must be pretty subtle because I wear it every day. I just remember noticing it when I was first trying it out. I think my face cream overpowers it, so goes to show you how subtle it is.These days I can't leave the house without at least a layer of Too Faced Beauty Balm! I like to apply it over my regular face moisturizer with SPF for extra coverage from the sun. And it helps protect my face from the biting cold winter weather up here in Wisconsin!Highly, highly recommended, if you're unsure you can always check here or eBay for sample sizes. This cream is definitely a staple for me, try it out! It first caught my attention from Women's Health magazine. And I can't say I hate the packaging it comes it - Too Faced always has such gorgeous boxes for their products. This is one product that protects me from the strong UV rays here in Colorado. I originally tried this product when I received it as a sample when I had purchase another product. It worked better than expected for me. The coverage is light, protects my skin, doesn't irritate or clog pores, and gives me a health looking glow. I ordered a lighter shade (Vanilla Glow) than the first sample that I received (Nude) as that shade is too dark for my skin especially during the winter months. The Vanilla is a little too light- it actually matches my skin almost too exactly and I wanted something to give me a little more color; however, that is not a fault of the product. I would like something to help me choose shades a little easier than just guessing by the names of the shades. That is the only reason that this product received 4 stars. I hope that this product stays in production as it is one of the few makeup products that I have found that gives me sun screen protection and doesn't irritate my skin. I found the price on Amazon to be significantly lower than the prices I have found in retail beauty product outlets.
