PoopBags The Original HYD007 Poop Bags Dog Waste Bag Dispenser, Green

We got these to try out with our puppy. The worked pretty well. I like the dispenser, though you end up needing two hands to tear off a bag. It would be nice if the dispenser made it easier to do that single-handedly. The other thing that kept this product from a 5-star rating is the size of the actual bags. Like I said, we have a puppy who will grow into a small dog. To avoid waste, we end up using the bags to collect 2-3 piles of poop. It would be more helpful if these bags came in two sizes: small and regular. If these bags were 1/3 smaller than what they are presently, it would work really well and save on waste.

As first I wasn't sure if I liked this fire hydrant style poo dispensers because there is a hook at the back that the leash cord often got hooked on. But, it has a purpose; to hook the filled poo bag onto for carrying. It's a nice feature. So, instead of holding the filled bag as I walk my two mini-schnauzers, I can just hook the bag. I just twist the bag to secure the contents then hook the bag, loop around the hook and hook again. This makes it easy to unhook to open the bag for the second dog. My boys often poo twice so the bag gets pretty full, but it stays secure. Managing two dogs together means a lot of leash maneuvering and the bag has always stayed secure. Another feature I like is that the post that holds the bags is on the lid and not in the fire hydrant. This makes it easier to pull the first bag out; just pull it out before putting the cap on. The Velcro-like fastener allows the holder to be hooked to any size leash as there's plenty of extra. I slipped a mini light on the velcro for finding poo in the dark. I originally gave it a 4 but after reviewing all of its great features I gave it a 5. I think most dog owners have many bag holders in a drawer that just don't work well. This is by far the best designed poo bag holder I have ever used and will buy again if needed. After several months of use, it's really sturdy and so is the hook.

These work great and dispense easily. You may lose the first bag looking and picking for it but there is a white sticker where it begins just unscrew the base and remove the sticker, line it up and replace the roll and screw cap. It is very convenient to use and comes with a Velcro loop to tie around any leash handle to have with you. I highly recommend this, have one for each car and leash and a spare (5), will buy more and I hope this helps someone to pick up after their dog as they should and raise the percentage of responsible dog owners from only 40%. 44% will only pick up poop if asked! Most just leave it when it could easily be picked up. Some even pick-up others messes and old stuff. It is not a natural breakdown process in our current man-made settings. Please only leave diarrhea or very soft stuff.

It works fine, but the description says “green” and the picture is green. Most people probably don’t care but I git it specifically to blend into the nursery decor (I want it for diaper poop bags). I see now that some reviews mention the color, but I don’t think that is enough to counter the description and picture

The fire hydrant dispenser is not only cute, but it's been more secure than other holders that have spontaneously "opened" and unknowingly released the bags while in transit (yikes). The velcro strap is perfect for securing the dispenser to the leash so it's never inadvertently forgotten, and as a bonus, it's environmentally friendly. Though I've never had a problem with the bag clip, props to the manufacturer for redesigning the clip in response to other customer reviews. Oh, and it doesn't hurt that it just happens to color coordinate with my doggies harness (-;

This is my new favorite dispenser. Thank you for making this earth-friendly too. The bags come out very easily, but do not fall out accidentally, seen this happen to several people with other dispensers. Also, the velcro connection to the leash is so much better than the other types, and yes, I've lost one before due to a poor attachment. I also like the clip to carry the bag instead of holding it in my hand. The bags inside are great, and I've ordered refills exactly like these because I like them so much. Thank you!

I bought this in October but hadn't attached it to my dogs leash until recently. After my third dog walk I arrived home to discover the bottom cap of the hydrant and the bags had fallen off. I now just have a cute useless fire hydrant. The bottom screws in place but needs a safeguard of a clip or lock. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of one because the bags that came with it are very sizeable for large dog cleanup and made from recycled materials. I purchased an extra 120 bag order to go with the hydrant. The hydrant is also very cute as I mentioned earlier. I'll try to give it to the cats as a new toy.

This is the best poop bag dispenser ever!! We have put it through the test and it prevails every time. My dog loves taking off when your least expecting it and dragging his leash and poop bad dispenser along with him. This is the only one that has stood up to the torture. We have gone through 4 leashes and still on this dispenser. It is amazing.

Great! These dispensers are sturdy, unlike the flimsy ones the bottom keeps popping out. Exactly what I was looking for!
