These cranks worked well.
This is a good product. These seem to be identical the ones that I installed about 20 years ago when I seriously repaired our jalousies. In the intervening years, of the six I installed 1 broke when i cranked too hard on a frozen unit. The jalousies are on an enclosed porch on all 4 sides. On the side of the porch attached to the house the porch extends about 8 feet past the edge of the house. We live within sight of Long Island Sound. The porch and jalousies were installed about 60 years ago when such things were fashionable in this area.Things change. I tried to get jalousie cranks at the local Home Depot and Lowe's stores and nobody at either store even knew what a jalousie is.These were fairly easy to install and I had no real problem. The premier tool for repairing frozen jalousies is WD40. Spray it on all the movable joints, wait several minutes and crank the unit up and down at little bit at a time. If you want to do this manually, hold a louver at both ends and twist carefully. Wear gloves.

Saved my door for another 10+ years
We have this old door that's somehow...the best way to describe it is that it was jerry-rigged from a large window and molded into a door with some strong wood. The kind of strong wood that's now super expensive if you were try to recreate it today. This jalousie helped keep the door working after the original jalousie handle broke off. This new handle to operate the glass blinds is interesting; it's not a turn crank handle, but a small twist handle like a wine cork handle. Instlaling it took a little clever know-how, as the window frame needed bending out of (and into) place, leaving behind a reminder of the past where construction was more sturdier.

That it fits
I disliked because it was to thick and wouldnt aloww me to roll out the jalousie. It was the right size and fit.But the pin was to short to clip and the arm was to thick. My door is from 1971.So that is probably why.I threw it away.
