I cut the curved ears off the piece where it meets in the back because it's not needed, but other than that, it fits just fine. I used a piece of the filler strips intended for a TJ and trimmed it to fit in between the two thick 1" pieces, just so there wasn't a blank spot above the speaker sound bar. I can't comment on how well it dampens sound because the jeep originally came with a soft top. I ripped all of that off and put an old used hardtop on that I refurbished. My main objective with the headliner was to reduce any radiant heat that would come off the top, even though I painted it light gray. I really don't know why anyone would want a soft top anything, especially in the south where we get 100+ temps for over 3 months. Anyways, it works well with keeping the radiant heat off my head and it feels like the ac is more effective. I'm sure it's deadening the sound too, but I wouldn't know.
