South-Western Federal Taxation 2014: Comprehensive, Professional Edition (with H&R Block @ Home Tax Preparation Software CD-ROM)

This is the professional edition of South Western Federal Taxation 2014 Comprehensive Volume, hardcover. Been trying to get this textbook for a class for several weeks and some listings don't describe it truthfully (loose leaf, digital access code, etc.). I have yet to see what is different about the Professional edition, although if you register the book you get content updates when the tax code changes - maybe that is it. This is the standard in tax books, and is something you will use for years to come as a current student purchasing it. You will probably have multiple tax classes in your life and a great reference book is handy for personal reasons too. I advise you to buy a physical copy such as this as opposed to "renting" access to a web-based ebook.

This book never fails to impress. It has all the new guidelines for each new tax year. Its clear and concise and a great tax reference for newer and experienced accountants. I buy this book every year and I am never disappointed.

Received quickly but is damaged

A great textbook to gain basic concept of taxation on the corporations, partnerships, and estates &trusts field.

OMG...these people must be the same ones that wrote my personal income tax text book. They use 15 words when five carefully chosen words would have been so much better. I struggle to read the book because, by the time you finish ready the four paragraphs discussing a very simple concept, you've forgotten what you were reading about. This book definitely has to be scanned for content, otherwise you'll have difficulty staying awake. A good editor would have resolved this problem. Other than that, all the information you need to get a good understanding of corporate tax is there. You just have to weed through the chatter to find it.

Bought a New Book that has checkpoint access for free for six months. This book was USED!!!!! Paid for a NEW book and received used now have to pay extra for the checkpoint access to get me though class. These books are expensive enough not have to spend extra even though I though I paid for it.
