I bought solar lights this year so I didn't use electric ones I have. BUT they didn't charge enough to even light for 1 hour. When they are on they are very pretty but I would have liked a bit longer in the evening.

Nice lights but they are very small, I thought they would be usual size of about 8cm diameter but they are about 3cm diameter. Nice though.

Need to make sure the solar panel is facing upwards but get good battery life

I wanted an easy to install solar lighting unit for my daughter to ad to her university digs balcony and having a solar powered unit meant to wiring problems. I was a little disappointed in the size of the balls that house the LEDs and they are only really visible at night but they are pretty and you get the standard set of colour and flashing variations as well as just having them come on when it gets dark. They actually last well on static sometimes making it through until dawn. They are bright enough for her purposes and with the addition of some reusable ties they were easy to install. Note the ties were not included. All in all for the money the unit was well packaged and performs just fine. Just bare in mind that the balls are small and not that bright
