almost gigging with glee.
Our apple trees finally produced a decent crop this year. The Bramley is a favorite apple of mine: very sharp and mostly intended for cooking.I have often complained about the sorry state of American apple pie (I'll leave motherhood for another day). They commonly have far too much sugar and are inundated with cinnamon. Cinnamon! Apple pie = pie + apples + a little sugar. That's why it's called apple pie and not sugar-cinnamon pie with apples. As a birthday present my wife is going to bake me a Bramley apple pie using our apples. However, on Tuesday she was anticipating the task of peeling and coring five pounds of the Bramleys and she wistfully mentioned those gadgets that do the job. I immediately went to Amazon, found one for $20 and it arrived the following day.The gadget prepared the apples lickety split. I sat and watched while my wife turned the handle and the apples were peeled, sliced and cored merely by cranking the gadget. We were like children with a new toy, almost gigging with glee.Buy one of these even if you want cinnamon in your apple pie. Buy one just for the fun of it.

Good concept, poor construction
The media could not be loaded. TL;DR: Consistently falling off track, stability seal repeatedly falls out, poor construction and design makes ineffective Apple cutting and slicing.Long review:First, if you wind the bar all the way back, the guide metal falls into the very end of the spiral winder and does not catch the spiral to start spinning the Apple towards the peeler/slicer/corer end and it will just continue to stay in the same place. I had to use a butter knife to force the metal guide back into the spiral winder. And second, there is a plastic stabilization guide piece in the frame itself which consistently comes out, causing the winder guide to wobble, thus making the Apple peeling ineffective and makes the winder hit the corer, causing bad coring and parts of the core end up in the flesh of the Apple. I had to use the butter knife (again) to push the black plastic guide piece into its position to continue to peel/slice /core the apples. I had to be done at least twice each Apple that needed peeling. It took me 50 minutes to peel, slice and core 9 Granny Smith apples for my homemade Apple pie! These are two major issues, which I have attached photos and a video of, and I am returning the item. It also had an ineffective and improperly installed (upside down) spring lever to move the peeler portion. It was not even working, it just flopped around. I did not take a photo of that part. The only good thing about this was that it had great suction power to the counter top and I did not have a single problem with it moving on me.Really wished this worked better and was a time saver.

Great and useful product, easy to use.
I decided to get and early start on my news year’s resolution of eating healthier. I bought this apple peeler and corer so I could make apple juice and just to have more apples in my diet. So far it’s been really great. It is simple and easy to use and I haven’t had any problems with it. I use the apple skins for my compost, and eat the delicious apples or make juice out of them. Great and useful product, easy to use.

Handle is different and uncomfortable
Not exactly as pictured. Its functional but the handle is wood and uncomfortable to use. It is all notched and grooved up. Kinda disappointed. The crank unscrews itself while you are coreing/ peeling the apple.

Should work better
It keep ripping through the core. Won't spin after the core is shredded.

Unclear instructions
I was not able to get this to work following the directions. They are not very helpful. I have been unable to use the peeler, slicer, correct as a result.

Great gadget for making apple peeling easy
love it! It makes peeling, coring and slicing a breeze. The only thing is make sure the wingnut is really tight and lined up with the core end of the apple or it will ruin your apple. Tighten with pliers extremely tight and watch for movement of the coring section!
