Project Management: Achieving Competitive Advantage (4th Edition)

I was happy to find the book but when I read through the description I thought the term 'good condition' would be worth the cost of $133.00 considering it stated there was very little damage. I have had class only 3 times and opened the book about the same amount. The cover is warped and has creases in the image. Corners are worn, as expected, but one corner is badly damaged-very soft and torn. Binding was coming apart immediately after opening and tearing away from inner pages. I have managed to handle it even less worried it wont last the semester. Wildly upset at the condition considering the pricing when purchased, and pricing less than one month later for better condition books is around half the cost. Positive - inner pages are fine and have no damage, are crisp, and clean with no writing on it.

This was a required textbook for my project management class. Overall, the contents are good and cover all PM essentials with plenty of case studies and practice questions for the PMP exam.GLOBAL EDITION: Contents are the same as the much more expensive US edition, except for the page numbers. Binding has a strange smell that doesn't go away, even after 8 weeks of reading, so minus one star.

The book itself is fine, ordered for a class and was as expected. My issue is that this was advertised as new, however the condition on the book when received did not live up to the description. The book corners were extremely damaged. While it does not effect the usability of the book, it will be more difficult to resell the book when my class is done as it has more damage then the normal wear.

We love the fact the book came to us well packaged...we really love the price considering the other prices that we've seen on this particular book. Everything was as expected. Thank you.

Received a book that looks identical to my professors copy(not global edition)- but had the copyright information page ripped out- failed the first 3 assignments in the class because all of the numbers for the questions in my book were different from everyone else's numbers. I don't know what's going on here, but I can't use this book for my class.

Somewhat of a difficult read, but works for the class. Kinda hard to find some of this information on the Internet, so I'd suggest getting for your class vs winging it.

Much cheaper to rent the book rather than renting it or buying it from my college. My small complaint was I had to rent it on my tablet, which has a considerably smaller screen than my laptop.

Used for an MBA class. Easy to read

Covers all (or majority) aspects of project management. The only negative is the quality of the paper the book is printed on ...

Pinto at his best. Every chapter is started with a relevant case study, and other case studies are embedded accordingly to the topics.

Very informative book. But arrived with damage to two corners. Looks like it may have been dropped at some stage before being packaged to send

Excellent Condition

This is truly an excellent textbook with a substantial amount of information on all aspects of project management. It makes use of a ton of case studies and references the PMBOK through out. The book covers all subjects in PM from conceptualization to termination.It is the main textbook for the course I am taking which is part of a certificate program by one of the biggest Colleges of eastern Ontario. That to me also gives it a lot of credibility.This book does however cost a lot of money. There many great books that cover the same information probably just as well for at least 1/2 the price.
