We needed a snap closure because he can't do buttons. I love the elastic waist also which help them to stay on. They fit him perfectly though I had to hem them (the usual as he isn't tall). He is pleased with them as he can still do a zipper (barely). They look stylish without looking too dressy. We have purchased 3 pair now and these will be what he wears nearly exclusively because they are just perfect for everything we have been searching for. We had previously purchased adaptable pants with a velcro fly and he hated them when using the toilet for some reason. These pants are just normal men's casual wear and I'm so pleased that he is pleased. It has been a real struggle. The weight of the pants is good, and they're likely to wear well.
