Amazing book
Wow!I have literally just finished reading this book and I can not believe the amount of emotions I had throughout..I had a feeling it was going to be a tear jerker as I had seen posts saying as much, but I literally went from dread to sadness to happiness then pure worry that it would all be taken away at the end and I wouldn't get my happy ending.....The book is based upon two main characters, Sarah and Eddie.I don't like spoilers as I would much rather you read my review and want to read it your self and experience all the same emotions and surprises I did.. so here I go!Sarah lives in America with her ex husband and amazing hospital charity business, she has not always lived there, she moved there when she was 17 to run away from a terrible accident that happened back home, in England.Letters are written regular that are never sent, and the family is fractured. In the summer Sarah goes back home to stay with her parents in Gloucester for the anniversary of the accident, her parents unexpectedly have to go to Leicester to look after her ill grandfather so Sarah is left alone, in the family home which she really doesn't like being in as it holds to many sad memories for her.Needing to escape the confines of the house she decides to take a walk, Sarah bumps into Eddie, who is on a green talking to a sheep who has got lost, having quite the discussion and looking like he isn't sure what to do Sarah goes up and offers her help. The pair instantly click and after ensuring Lucy the sheep is safely back with the farmer they end up spending the entire day together, drinking in the pub, lying in the sun and getting to know each other. Both have had trouble pasts but neither want to talk about that, they want to forget who they are and be who they want to be in the moment of bliss.. The day turns into two, then three and before they know it they have spent seven whole days in pure bliss holed up in Eddies cottage in the woods.Eddie is due to go on a lads holiday on the eighth day so on the seventh day they say there goodbyes, swap facebook details and promise to call each other that evening and be together the following week when he gets home...That is the last time Sarah speaks to Eddie..At first she texts to make sure he lands safe in Spain, surprised that he hasn't yet called as it was the last promise he made before she left. Then she texts again to ask if all is ok as she hasn't heard anything, but Eddie does not reply.Fraught with panic Sarah then tries to get hold of Eddie, adamant that he hasn't just abandoned her after a fling like her friends suggest, she knows there is something wrong.. so extends her stay in the Uk to try and figure out what has happened, she messages him regular and decided to write him letters telling him all about herself and what happened when she was younger, as they didn't go into detail about there pasts. Not getting anywhere Sarah eventually has to go back to LA and back to her life and job.Grief stricken and utterly heartbroken Sarah tries to move on, She can't eat, sleep or even think straight so gets up at the crack of dawn to run to escape it all, until one day walking to work Sarah glances up and there in the throng of LA traffic she sees Eddie, struggling to find his way amongst the heavy foreign traffic.Confused Sarah is sure she made a mistake, she hasn't been herself since she last saw Eddie, she has lost weight and is seriously considering her mental state until a couple of days later Jenni, Sarahs friend calls her and tells her that whilst she was out of the office in a meeting Eddie came in looking for her! This is where Sarah attempts to call Eddie again, and finally, after weeks of nothing he answers...I can not write anymore as I desperately do not want to give away any of the twists and turns that this amazing book holds but I can guarantee one thing..This story is the best romance I have read this year. Its witty, beautifully written and utterly heart wrenching.I can honestly say I have never read a book before where I so wanted happiness to ensue but to be dangled like a carrot by the author, keeping me guessing and surprising me at every chapter. In Three parts, it is at the end of part two when I realised that the book had thrown me completely and that I now dreaded every page after that, on eggshells paranoid that it would all end in a way I did not want it to..I spent most of part three feeling sad, tinged with only the snippets of hope that Rosie Walsh allowed me to have...This book is a must read and you will be talking about it for ages..

Engaging
Not my usual genre, but I purchased this book over 4 years ago. I can't think why, unless it was because of the good reviews. Only now getting around to reading it.It was a very slow start and I nearly gave up on it a few times. It did become more intriguing as events unfolded, as it kept you guessing about what was really going on. Quite a few twists, which were cleverly executed, and a few false trails, so it did begin to become more engaging. For me, the writing was a little flowery, gushing and very contrived in places. The characters tended to be very one dimensional and quite immature. I found some parts to be really overwritten and I laughed out loud in some places, where the romance and feelings were really exaggerated. On the whole, it was engaging, and entertaining, but more of a holiday read than an exploration of human life and feelings.

I HIGHLY Recommend This One
Yayyyyy, for once the critics got it right with their plaudits on this book. So many times I've read how something is the best thing since sliced bread, only to be bitterly disappointed. I was a little torn about paying for this one as the author was unknown to me, plus it had all those gushing reviews. But at last they were spot on and I'll definitely be looking out for her next offering. It's a lovely story though I think there were three instances in differing parts of the story that had me sobbing !! Some chapters feature letters to someone who is missing somebody else and you never know who is writing to who for a great deal of time and this left me totally intrigued. Of course, I guessed wrong, as I usually do !! It is interesting to then look back and reread the letters once it all becomes clear. I loved it. The author has a terrific imagination for sure. She created some very, very likeable characters as well. Usually you happen upon a prize s**t somewhere but all the people in this had at least one redeeming feature !! There were also some very funny lines here and there, too, the de-gaying mention made me howl, especially !!At one point I'd have used roiling and not rolling and she wrote prized and not prised just the once and that was it for any errors, which is pretty bloody marvellous as well, I'd say ! I reckon she'll struggle to top this, I must say, one I'll highly recommend to one and all.

Typical chick lit
It was a good story but lacked depth of characters and plot. Some twists that kept it interesting

A slow start but excellent finish
I would have assessed this book as a 5 but it took me a long time to get into the story. Sarah was quite irritating at first as she moped about after Eddie didn't call. The second half of the book redeems itself with a fast paced series of events. A few interesting twists and turns which are unexpected.

Better late than never!
I had started this about six months ago, but it didn’t really grab me, so it went into my TBR pile and today I decided to finish what I’d started! My oh my what a story, I cannot describe how good this is, you just get pulled into the characters and hope all works out well for everyone, and I can’t tell you if that really happens. Because that would be telling! I actually couldn’t put it down until I finished.Suffice to say that I don’t always leave a review but had to for this one, brilliant!

Brilliant.
As the other book I read of hers, this one also keeps you guessing and doesn’t therefore allow you to put it down. Just finished it and have got through half a box of tissues.

“Ghosted” was the right title.. pity the uk version changed it but overall a nice story; flows in a breath. Good book

Absolutely Brilliant!
It’s an amazing read, fast pace and has as many twists and turns like a jalebi! Sarah and Eddie are both likeable and as Sarah journeys through her search for the man who didn’t call, you can feel the despair rising through the book and clenching your heart! A modern day romance with a difference
