It actually works!
Mrs bought this as our cats are obsessed with our living room windowsill. Before you judge we do love them but it was creating problems in the sense they were rubbing against the back of the curtains causing their hair to get attached to it. We were getting sick of it taking ages to clean up the hair. Many goes with the hoover to even make a little difference. Plus they kept playing with the netting that's actually attached to the window. We don't have the type of window that's hard to see into like you would in a bathroom. So we got this tape to stop them trying to pull the netting down and creating ways for outsiders to see in when we didn't particularly want anyone to see in. I was rather apprehensive about getting it as well I've never bought anything to try and discourage animals not to go into, onto areas that they shouldn't or where owners would prefer they did not go near. But seen as it was already ordered and arrived before I even have chance to properly think about it we decided to give it a go. To my surprise it works. The Mrs explained the basics of how it should work. I just didn't think that would apply to our cats. As their alittle bit odd so I genuinely thought knowing our luck they wouldn't mind the tape. But nope they hate it and since putting it down on the windowsill in the living room no further problems. Of course the cats still try and enter the windowsill but quickly leave once they realise the tape is still there. Yes I understand how the tape can be annoying under their paws but it's not doing them any harm. I keep checking to be on the safe side. It doesn't seem to cause any irritation or anything and the cats aren't in any pain afterwards. So a method that stops them from doing something we don't want them to do without causing pain is a big win in my book. Highly recommend this product. The stickiness seems to be holding pretty well. Had this most recent lot up for well its the second day. No sign of it decreasing and loosing its stick. First lot the Mrs got abit concerned about how long we could leave it before we needed to change it. So think we ended up removing it and putting more down too soon. This time round I'm making sure we can accurately test how long the stick holds for. Provided I can edit this review I will be back with an update. **EDIT - 03/03/22** Finally remembered to and had time to update lol. This product worked for a decent amount of time. However, now we are left with adhesive residue on the windowsill which we have had trouble removing after we took the tape off the windowsill to replace it. We then decided to not put more on and just concentrate on trying to remove the adhesive residue. The removal of it is an ongoing process. Unsure if this is as a result of the type of product it is or if we left the tape on there for too long. We left it on there longer than our first attempt to see how long the stickiness would last. While the timescale may have seemed reasonable to us. In regards to the product Itself it may have been just a little bit too long. In which case that would be on us. The relevance of this update is purely so people know that it can leave adhesive residue. Whether that be what the product does when used properly or what could happen if someone like us who is inexperienced with using said product uses it for too long. The fact remains it can happen by the looks of it. So I would advise to keep that in mind when purchasing. Also in regards to how long it worked keeping our cats off the windowsill. Unfortunately it didn't work as long as we would have liked. Though I think that may be more to do with our cats than the product itself. It seems at some point in time they just didn't seem bothered by it after a while. Which actually makes sense as our cats are unusual like that. Lots of things don't bother them the way they would other cats. Either straight away or after a decent amount of time. Sometimes it seems like they build up an immunity in a sense to whether or not something bothers them anymore. Sort of like when people end up not tolerating someone else's nonsense. Again mentioning this so people can keep it in mind when purchasing. As should you have cats like ours who stop being bothered by the product after a while. It'll probably be a good idea to know that it might be a possibility that it won't have the desired outcome beforehand. For the time it did work for us and our cats. It was a godsend. Now we are over trying to keep them off the windowsill. As annoying as it is for us. It seems nothing will stop them from jumping up on there.

Doesn't stick well
Stops the cat scratching but if anyone brushes against it it just pulls straight off the chair so not a lit of use really

It's Excellent!
We have 6 month old kitten, very lively, so dives up and down from the furniture and scratching madly while in a frenzy. It works brilliantly! She didn't even like the smell when I unrolled the tape. It sticks well on a smooth sofa and a boucle one. She's got a scratching post of course and will have to make do with that. I reckon the tape will pick up hairs and fluff eventually but I'm happy to do that.

Damaged carpet & quickly gets dirty
I gave this a go, but would not use again. Firstly I think it's quite expensive for what it is - double sided sticky tape. I applied this to the edges of my hallway carpet as the cat had taken to pulling at it, particularly at doorways. It adhered very well, and as soon as it was applied, my cat stopped pulling at the carpet edges. After a few months I decided to remove it. As it is double sided sticky, the top gets covered in bits and hairs etc. It was looking pretty nasty so had to go. [I wonder if it needs to be sticky on the top? I think the plastic feeling would put a cat off suitably - my cat left it alone the whole time it was there even though the stickiness was gone after a few weeks or so (as it got dusty/dirty).] When I removed it from the carpet, it pulled out quite a bit of the pile. Granted, not as much as my cat would have if left to her own devices these past few months. However, I've just reverted back to keeping my cat shut out of the hallway, which is a far superior solution.

My cat gazed at me as I taped my bed...
My cat definitely knew it was the point of saying goodbye to scratching my bed mid-night and his enjoyment of the aftereffects of our chase down the hallway... As I held the tape up in the air, he watched me, sitting on his mighty tall tower with the biggest and darkest pupils in his eyes.. Holding the tape up high in the air, I laughed to the success of my weapon.. I finally knew I had won the war. Little did Shadow know that that exact night I would finally conquer my bed back... P. S. I didn't even need to make the double-sided stickiness and it worked perfectly for me! The little down part is that it only covers half the size of a double bed so you'll need two which costs £20 altogether. Otherwise, it's strong, it's very sticky and you've got a highly satisfied knight you've provided with a mighty weapon and a highly dissatisfied tiger hiding in his tower never to be seen around the knights bed! This knight can truly finally sleep in peace never to war with a tiger again...

not double sided despite the description - won't order again
I've ordered this a a few times. I have cats that destroy things with their claws (not intentionally...that's just how they sharpen and shed their claws). The first two times this double sided tape was brilliant. Eventually, though the cats pick away and I have to replace it. This time, the tape I received - same brand, same vendor, same description - came very thick, and there was no way to peel off the backing for it to be double sided tape. It's just a thick tape with the top side glossy. So it's utterly useless to me. I tried to return it but I missed the window by a few days so I'm stuck with it. I'd order it again if I thought the next batch would be double sided again, but given that others have experienced the same disappointment, I'll have to find another brand. Waste of my time given the wait, and of course, waste of money, too

Hyper efficace
