Polar Cadence Sensor W.I.N.D.

Bought this to go with my CS600x and it works perfectly. Very small design makes it lightweight and not an eyesore on the frame. Easy to setup with a red light on the sensor to let you know when it receives a signal. Configuring the CS600x to recognize it takes maybe 2 seconds. Highly recommend for any cyclist

Polar makes great gear for monitoring your development, I have the CS600 unit with Heart Rate Monitor and added the cadence sender. I have benefited from knowing how fast I'm pedaling. The only unit I think I might like better is the Garmin but considering the price I'm very happy with the Polar unit. Also Polar will design a training program for you via an online link with your unit allowing an upload of all your info for a custom tailored program. The first of the Cadence units stopped working after a few months but Polar suplied another without any problems under the conditions of the warrenty. They are generally trouble free from what I've been told by fellow riders.

Be Warned! The CS 500 cycling computer will lose connection with the W.I.N.D. Cadence Sensor every time you synch your data. The sensor works perfectly on the bike. It installs easily, pairs well, weighs little, looks fine (not too bulky) But I am frustrated with the computer that I use with it. I know that this review is for the W.I.N.D. Cadence Sensor not the CS 500, but since this sensor only pairs with select Polar head units, I thought it appropriate. Every time I synch my rides with my computer I have to pair my W.I.N.D. Cadence Sensor again before my next ride. Pairing is very simple, but I shouldn't have to do it every time.I would buy this product again. It does a nice job with accuracy, but be forewarned that the bugs with the CS500 are NOT worked out.

Works great as a cadence sensor. Occasionally I kick it out of alignment with the magnet on the pedal but that it is trivial to slide them back into alignment.

I really didnt think I would use this but was curious to see what my cadence was and how that mapped to my efficiency. I am now really glad I got it. As is train I have found that making a connection between what you feel and what the numbers say is important. If you can make this connection you can systematically push your body to continue to improve rather than just going as hard as you can a blowing up. I would recommend this for a cyclist that is interested in developing an efficient ride.

Product review only, vender is a 5 star. Polar needs to make these to use replaceable batteries without making the customer do surgery to do the work... C"mon Polar!

It was good size, well done and in very good condition. It was what really was shown. It was perfect.

This item is really poor value for money. It is temperamental and one has difficulty in setting it so it works. It often stops working during a ride. Polar should go to the drawing board to fix this poor excuse for a sensor. I wouldn't recommend it to anybody.In addition the battery is difficult to replace, but it is possible. I opened mine with the small blade on my Swiss knife. Don't try and manoeuver it out with the blade of the knife, if there is life left in the battery you will blow the unit. Get some plastic tweezers and pull it out. Replace in the reverse order making sure to observe the polarity.

Great unit; very reliable have these sensors on all my 3 bikes;No problems;Only downsideThe tolerance in terms of distance is extremely tight but once set will not move due to the rubber mounting even when washed with hose & brush!One other point some people have reported units failing. Generally it's the battery, view the pics I took to change the battery (CR1632, 3v).I was able to get my batteries from my local large Tesco's!

Als ambitionierter Triathlet ist der Sensor für mich ein sehr guter Begleiter beim Training und Wettkampf. Funktioniert tadellos und auch der Akku hält bis dato ohne zu murren. Das Anbringen und die Koppelung mit dem Radcomputer ist sehr einfach. Ich kann das Teil nur jedem empfehlen, der seine Trittfrequenz kontrollieren will.
