Wiring was a breeze after you verify the connection and colors for each connection. Drill and tap the throttle cable port the correct size, and everything works like an OEM Harley at 1/6th the price!

This is advertises as "Fits for SOFTAIL1996-2012,for DYNA, " but the wiring harness is incorrect. The connectors are the wrong type. Requires extensive modification to factory wiring harness. OEM has a 6 pan and a 3 pin connector. This has a 7 pin and 2 loose wires.

I bought these hand controls, to modify for a non-HD motorcycle.I knew that I would need to modify the throttle cable area, as well as performing a custom wiring job.Upon arrival, my first inspection showed me that the cutouts and holes for the buttons were not fully smoothed out. Both of the turn signal switches were catching on something and would not return to their full-out positions.Next, I noticed that there was a bump inside of the throttle cable cavity. Once I tried putting the throttle grip inside and spinning it, that bump was grabbing the throttle grip and not allowing it to turn smoothly.I ended up using a Dremel cutting wheel to grind down that spot, which stuck out just over 1 mm. I also ended up doing the same on the lower part of the case.Next, the wires were not fully tucked behind the bracket inside, and a couple of the wires were already pinched. Thankfully, they were to the included brake switch, which I ended up removing anyways.Lastly, the pilot hole for the throttle cables was reamed and cross threaded so badly, I would need to tap the hole to a bigger size, if I were to use it.In all, I think I will buy a different casing set, jeep the buttons from this one, and move on.

I used it to replace my Yamaha. Big mistake, it took quite bit of re-engineering to fit all the wires thru the new handlebars and the wiring was a nightmare. Yamaha use multi purpose switches that can't be share on these type.Great experience though. My bike now looks custom.

The hot wire for the starter and the front brake light are tied together. So when I hit both. Brakes the starter would engage. Red wire with white stripe

Control housing doesn't fit with brake or clutch levers. do not buy.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought these and are really great just can’t figure out what this button does/for on the back side of the right hand controls.....

Make sure you check your connectors. Mine was oval and this is square. But it’s great besides that
