Nekteck Shiatsu Neck Massager with Heat for Pain Relief, NOT Cordless

I was a bit worried when I got it because it was so bulky but it works amazingly. It feels durable and sturdy. I did need to make sure my hair was off my neck because it was more comfortable without my hair being rubbed into my neck. I was able to use it just under my skull where I get knots and up and down my neck and the tops of my shoulders. It rotates direction every minute but I wish there was a button that I could set it on one direction for the full 15 minutes. I can change the direction for one minute at a time but I don’t want to push the button 15 times to keep it going one direction. I put the low heat on and it’s plenty warm. I used this for over an hour in one use and it performed great. It helped reduce the tightness in my neck and shoulders. I’m looking forward to seeing what a week of using this massager will do for me. I have a fancy massage chair but it doesn’t help with my neck. This massager was addressing the knots in my shoulders on the lightest setting. I think I’ll have to work up to the deeper massages. It does require you to lean against something and plug into the wall. I found it comfortable sitting on my couch and leaning back with a cushion under my lower back. I am so impressed. I bought another neck massager for $150 and it did not hold a candle to this product. I am very happy with the purchase and I feel it was well worth the money.

My wife has three compressed vertebrae at the top of her spine, at collar bone level, which pinches a nerve, creating pretty severe pain which travels across her shoulder blade and down her arm. Surgery is the only solution for a permanent fix, but we are not about to take that step since surgeries of this type are notorious for mixed results with up to 50% of patients being worse off after the surgery than before. Too risky, so we have to deal with it and manage the pain. Our maintenance basically consists of continual use of Aleve or Ibuprofen to control the pain and also very frequent massages of her area of discomfort. She is always asking me for an upper torso "back rub". When I saw this I thought, "Certainly worth a try since she could massage herself". So I bought it for one of her Christmas presents. She got very excited opening her present, after she realized what it was. She loves it and uses it for extended periods every day. Any time she is sitting still, she has it in place on the back of her neck. Watching TV or reading a book, it is always there. She also likes the fact that she can position it anywhere from the waist up, and does so, frequently moving it into a different position. I have not had to give her nearly as many back rubs anymore, since this does a super job on its own. This device has been somewhat of blessing to her and does relax her enough to relieve the pain. Although it may not be for everybody since the hard rotating massage balls can be somewhat uncomfortable if you apply to much forward pressure or you are against a fairly hard surface on the back side of the massager, because that would press the balls pretty hard into your body. But you have total control of that and if you want a more comfortable massage, you can fold a bath towel however many times you want to achieve the right amount of cushion, if you are looking for a more comfy massage.. For her it is perfect without anything in between her skin and the rotators. She wants the somewhat aggressive massage to get deep into her muscle tissue. She uses a massage therapist a couple times a month when she especially hurting, who really bears down hard at her points of discomfort so this device is much like going to the therapist. You just need to understand what you are looking for when you decide to purchase this. It is a great product for how it was designed and is ergonomically correct for the way it is used. A year ago, I bought her a massage device which sits in her office chair, kind of like a seat cover on a car. It has almost exactly the same rotating balls, with heat (makes me wonder if it is the same manufacturer), but it does not work nearly as well, because the rotating balls are far too high and really hit the back of her skull instead of on the shoulders. So she has to sit on pillows to raise her up enough for it to hit her neck and shoulders. With this, no matter how tall or short you are, you can find the perfect position for it, with your arms through the loops. She also likes the heat VERY MUCH, and uses it sometimes without the massage action, and always with it. I looked at quite a few units like this, which were a bit cheaper, but found too many average to poor reviews and decided on this because of its majority of 4 and 5 Star reviews. That was enough for me and I can say that she loves what it does for her and it scored some really big brownie points for me, even though I don't need any.

This massager works well for giving me temporary relief from my lower back pain. It’s especially nice first thing in the morning when the pain is especially high. I use it three to four times a day and it gives relief for 30 to 90 minutes and I’m grateful for it. However, if you are looking for the heat to give added comfort, I’m sorry to say the heat provided is minimal, and only noticeable after being on for 10 minutes. Hence the 4 star rating. Note that the heat isn’t necessary to provide relief.

When I ordered this, I was expecting a bad quality product because of its cheap price. Turns out, it is one of my favorite purchases I’ve made. My back always feels tight from standing up all day and hunching over. This massager feels like someone is actually massaging you. My only advice is don’t use it for too long. I used it for about 90 minutes and now I have some bruises on my back so don’t use it for very long. More effective if under 90 mins. Another thing, I move it around to specific knots and spots because it is a little big. It is a great choice if you suffer from back pain

I honestly love this thing. I’ve had neck and shoulder discomfort for months and some numbness across my upper back. I used a massage chair at a nail salon one day and felt so much better afterward that I went down a rabbit hole trying to find something similar for home. I tried a few massage guns and returned all of them. This is completely different. If you sit against a wall and really lean into it, it works very similarly to those pedicure chairs. The little massage balls change direction and I could literally feel the tight spots loosening up. And knots popping. I wish I bought this years ago. I’m already thinking about buying another one just to have a backup. Also, pretty sure everyone is getting one for Christmas now.

This is great if it is only for your upper neck, when you try to use it for anywhere below your shoulders, the way that the handles are place make the massaging part spin down wards and its hard to get traction to you back. Other then that I have been loving it so far, just wish i could use it on my back more.

I've been using this everyday for the last few days. My god, it's so amazing and I CAN'T SEEM TO STOP! I've started my own business recently on the side, so I am working all day everyday between my regular job and my business. Due to lack of sleep, poor posture and being stuck in the same posture for an extended amount of time, my neck, and back have become rock solid hard and it hurts. In the recent days, I had to stop all of my efforts with my business because it was getting to a point where I couldn't focus. I started to look into ergonomics of my home setup as it clearly did not suffice to keep me going. One of the things I realized I needed was a massager. I looked around Amazon and this seemed to have good ratings both on Amazon and Fakespot. Plus, its Black Friday sales week and it's half the original price. It's quite the steal so I had to jump on it. In my honest opinion, it's TOTALLY WORTH IT! In my headline, I said "works wayy better for my back than neck," which is totally true. I think I have a small neck being a skinny asian woman at 5'4", so my neck doesn't get enough of that compression from the shiatsu device as my neck sits too far from where the shiatsu device lands. So I end up shifting it around to find the perfect orientation where it works best for me. However, for my back....WOW it's AMAZINGGG. I would consider myself as having great pain tolerance, so this hit the nail when it comes to getting a deep tissue massage and getting all the knots to *crack* every time it glides over the deeply knotted areas. If you have tons of knots like me, this device will hit every knot you can imagine and give you a sensation of pain and relief all at once. By the end of each session which is about 15 mins, you will feel lighter, less tense and calm. This device has heating mode, three different speeds, and direction change. But it is all in all a shiatsu device. Game changer for those who regularly workout, work that involves physical labor, work with poor postures, or work long hours. This device also can be used on different parts of your body like legs, arms etc. I have used Theragun before since I had given one as a gift to my ex-boyfriend. Used it quite frequently at the time. But that's a massage gun so it's a little different. While Theragun was amazing to use, this device is plenty enough without having to fork over tons of money. You can still get pretty amazing relief. So I'd say get yours now during this Black Friday Deal!!

I don't understand the bad reviews! I bought my first massager in 2018!! It still works great, but after 8 years, it's becoming frayed from constant use. Some think it is too hard, but the person using it controls the pressure! Yes, it is cordless, and that is why I believe it is still working after 8 years. NOTHING hardly still works after 8 years, but this one does. I control the pressure, and I can use it all over my body! I'm happy they still sell this massager on Amazon.

I am a fully qualified massage therapist and I suffer badly with a stiff neck and headaches.. I have used many electrical massagers but never did they feel any thing like hands but blimey this is AMAZING,this has been made with great thought and does it work or what?you bet..First,it gives a very deep massage, kneading those very areas that can't be difficult..Gets to the root at your skull base and eases.the neck completely...The heat is not too hot but lovely and warm and that just increases the blood supply and relaxes you more..You have three levels of speed and also does forward movement and reverse,you can choose or leave it and it will forward and reverse it's self,it cuts off it's self if left on.I am totally amazed with this brilliant massager and now I get a proper relaxing massage.Can be used elsewhere on your body.I used this on my left side (bowel area) as I suffer with i.b.s and this really helped to sooth that area and helped with trapped wind.This gives a deep massage so may not suit everyone but if you feel it is too hard then you could put a towel on your neck.I would not recommend on bare skin as with the heat and the deep rotation it could make your skin sore.It takes time to get used to the feeling of this massager,i felt it as a deep massage should be but this may not suit everbody, for me it's PERFECT,I could not be without this now..Please note...When you have finished your massage,a drink of plain water should be taken,this helps the lactic acid/urea (released due to massage) pass out through passing the urine so its very important to have water afterwards..PLEASE NOTE,IT COMES WITH A TWO PIN PLUG!!
