Been using this reel for a few months below local ...
Been using this reel for a few months below local dams for striper. loaded it with diawa samaria braid and havent looked back. biggest fish on this reel was 70# paddle fish snagged in the back.Note this reel does not have a drag I used parts I had from other reels to get about a 15# drag tension on the spool.

It is not made in Japan and it is easily Noticeable. I wish someone had written a review ...
Paid additional $50 to ship it back to Japan. I find it hard to believe that Shimano woul produce a dragless reel, unless it is intended to long Cast in distance tournaments. After carefully analyzing the reel, how it operates, its finish, etc; I decided it was not worth keeping it and decided to incur in extra expense and get my money back (less $50 for return shipping).Beware, I got the impression this was a Japan made product when I placed my order. It is not made in Japan and it is easily Noticeable. I wish someone had written a review back then.
