United Cutlery Lord of the Rings Glamdring Sword | Officially Licensed Replica | Sword of Gandalf | 35 1/4" Mirror Polished Stainless Steel Blade

After reading other peoples highly rated reviews, I decided to order this sword. I kept my expectations down low since the reviews were so glowing and I didn't want to get disappointed. I had ordered mine on Amazon from BUDK which sent me a sword that somehow got lost in transit, however BUDK was very cool and sent me another sword right away. Upon opening the sword, I was so happy! Glamdring the Foe Hammer had arrived! Just as the other reviewers had said, this sword is awesome. It looks exactly like the swords used in the movies. Very well constructed not some cheaply made decoration. The first thing you'll notice aside from the great visual aesthetics when you pick it up is the weight of it. Although listed at about 4.5 pounds, when the weight is spread over 47 inches long, it's heavy. It feels like 10 pounds. Thankfully it is false edged, meaning that it is not sharp. Something this heavy, this long - were it sharpened would definitely be hazardous. The tip of the sword is sharp. I already put a hole in my ceiling. It's not a beater sword - so don't go around hitting things with it- if that's what you're looking for, look elsewhere. If you're a fan of the films, and have a love of swords, get this sword! I recommend purchasing the scabbard as well if you have the money. To me, a sword is not complete without the scabbard which was designed with this sword. And using the scabbard, I can prop this up in the corner of my room. Also, make sure that you purchase the official licensed sword made by United cutlery. There are some knockoffs, which are poor quality. Have fun, be safe!

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and loves it. It is about 4 feet long and fairly heavy -- at least 10 pounds. It is crafted very well and looks beautiful hanging on the wall. A word of caution, though -- while the blade is not sharpened, the tip of the sword does come to a point and is sharp enough to do some damage! Definitely keep away from kids!

An excellent replica. Mine is authentic United Cutlery (bought on Amazon). PROS: - Looks strikingly similar to the movie version - Absolutely feels solid - Comes with a great display wall plaque for mounting CONS: - Heavy. Heavy. Heavy. You ain't gonna be the Gandalf in the movies, staff in one hand, swinging this sword in another. You CAN hold it with one hand, but this is a two-handed weapon. Glamdring would be lighter if the fantasy blade existed in real life, but, since this is a human made reproduction, it is quite hefty. - Does NOT come with a scabbard. It's criminal that either the blue OR white scabbards are sold separately AND they cost $200 - EACH! Seriously, y'all could have made a simple scabbard to cover the blade? - Unsharpened. This could be a "PRO" as well, since you can't use it as a combat blade. However, the point is quite pointy, and will do 1d20 points of stabby damage (in real life) OVERALL: If you want a great movie prop that is close to what you see on the big screen, this'll do it. Just don't expect to dual-wield unless you've the muscle mass of Arnold.

I was lucky to pick up a museum collection Glamdring for a steal of a price, and of course I had to get the officially licensed scabbard to go with it. This is probably not worth more than a hundred bucks, but if you can find a good deal on it, let me reassure you that the quality is great and it is worth picking up for your Glamdring replica. The leather is soft, the trim is tightly fastened, and the sword looks straight up kingly in this scabbard. I am such a nerd.

I just bought this sword and it looks amazing!!! If your gonna slap it on the wall it looks legit. You can also carry it around and scare people but i dont advise this. It has a dull blade but the pont can still hurt someone so it is not something you can go around and play with. It looks and feels like a real sword, because it is a real sword. If you are a LOTR fan or a sword fan you wont be dissapointed.

I have a small collection of decorative swords, and most of them look really cool, but would not stand up to actual use or even more than light swinging. This sword, on the other hand, is very high quality, handles really well, and is very very sturdy. With a sharpened blade, you could probably really go orc hunting with this thing! United Cutlery has top notch products, and I plan on buying more.

This is a fantastic sword. I was a little concerned about the quality before purchasing it, but I'm very impressed. It has a false edge, but as others have pointed out the tip is rather sharp. The wall mount is much nicer than I expected as well. The sword feel just like what you would think it would feels like when watching the movies. I couldn't be happier with it!

Ich habe die original Replik von Glamdring hier für unglaubliche 189 € geschossen. Sonst eher um die 360 € im Netz. Ein Rezent hatte geschrieben, es sei eine Fälschung, was mich in Kombination mit dem Preis hat stutzig werden lassen. Ich für meinen Teil habe das Original bekommen! Original verpackt, mit Wandhalterung, Lizenzblatt und Beschreibung, Verarbeitung hochwertig, Größe und Gewicht stimmen gem. den Produktangaben. Für mich der absolute Knaller! Schönstes Schwert in Mittelerde! M.M.

Ich Finde das Schwert recht schön. Es gibt zwar die ein oder andere stelle die ich nicht so toll finde. Diese fallen aber nicht auf solange das schwert an der wand hängt. Wer Fan der Herr der Ringe Saga ist wird an dem Schwert seine freude haben. Ob Eine Wanddekoration für den preis haben wil muss man selbst wissen aber die meisten Bilder die an dieser Stelle hängen könten würden mich mehr kosten.

Das Schwert des Königs von Gondolin und später von Gandalf.. Wohl eins der Schönesten Herr der Ringe Replikas die es gibt. Massiv gearbeitet. Wundervolle liebe zum Detail. Liegt Elegand in der Hand und Sieht Super an der Wand aus!!! United Cutlery ist ein Name der von Qualität zeugt und Spricht und bisher bin ich davon nie entäuscht worden!!! Ein Schönes Deko schwert!

Hallo ich bin ein italienischer Käufer. Guten Kauf; Verkäufer freundlich und aufmerksam, ist das Schwert schön und es ist wirklich einzigartig. Ich bin sehr glücklich. Kauf, um Fans von Tolkien empfohlen.

Die Vorfreude war riesig, beim Auspacken kam die Enttäuschung... Bei diesem Dekoschwert handelt es sich um eine billige Fälschung! Weder da Echtheitszertifikat liegt bei, noch ist eine Prägung von United Cutlery zu erkennen... Auch auf der Rückseite der Wandhalterung fehlt jeder Hinweis zu Herr der Ringe bzw. der Hobbit... Ich bin selbst in Besitz von Anduril und weiß wie echte Qualität aussehen sollte... Eigentlich müsste ich für diese Frechheit null Sterne vergeben. Ich hoffe Amazon ist so fair und nimmt diesen Artikel wieder zurück! Ich bin maßlos enttäuscht!
