RMS Deluxe Sock Aid - Socks Helper with Foam Handles (for Regular Socks)

This is the best self help aid I have seen in a long time. Due to ongoing knee and hip issues and pain, it would take me almost ten minutes to put on one sock. I looked for help on Amazon and ordered this item. So easy to put a sock on it and slide my foot right in! Plastic is sturdy (not super flexible) and ropes and foam handles are great. What a time saver and no more aching joints when getting my socks on in the mornings. I recommend this for anyone with joint pain, back pain and for any age. It looks like it will last a long time. Btw I have only tried it with men’s ankle socks and no shows. Very happy with purchase.

I never thought there would come a time that I would need one of these but after 5 back surgeries and several months of my wife have to put my socks on for me I thought I would give it a try. It’s perfect. It works great for putting on my socks and my wife is happy about that.

This product is absolutely amazing. I have osteoarthritis in my right hip and it makes it very difficult for me to put on my socks because I can’t cross my foot far over my opposing leg. This product worked awesome for putting on my athletic socks. I wear with my athletic shoes. One tip I would suggest if you’re going to have short socks is to make sure you put the sock completely on the device so that the tip of the toes is fully up against the end of the device. Once you do that, pull the rest of the sock towards the back of the device, where the ropes attached. If you do this, you will be able to get the entire sock on, including over the heel. If you only partially put on the sock, you will still have to try to lean over to pull it over your heel.

I bought this to help get my husband's compression socks on after his knee replacement. I wasn't able to do it myself because of bad arthritis in my hands, and my husband obviously couldn't do it. I realize that this device wasn't mean for this type of sock, but it does work. It's still difficult, and takes two of us (one to hold the bottom of the sock on as it doesn't have a toe, and guide the sock on), and the other one to pull, but it does work.

This product is simple and effective. I had hip replacement surgery and was unable to put my socks on. With this product and my Hey Dudes, I could put on proper footwear for going out - it made a big difference in my independence. There is something very humbling about asking someone else to put your socks and shoes on for you. Highly recommended!

I bought these for my husband to help put on his socks. He says they are the best thing ever! That’s saying a lot. If it’s hard for you to bend over and put on your socks, these are very helpful.

I wish there was a choice of sizes because this sock aid is bigger than I thought. It's bigger than the other sock aid I have at home.

It helps get your sock started over your heel, though it won’t pull it all the way on. If you have wide feet, you might run into some difficulty at first, since the rope is knotted on the inside. I’d recommend the manufacturer design a shallow socket where the rope connects inside the main body, so it doesn’t protrude as much. I think that would solve the tanglefoot problem! That said, it’s definitely worth the money.
