Belle is a little chunky so she has a fatty liver. She drinks a lot of water and we know what goes in must come out.This brand of puppy pads is not stiff ,it has a loose top and a very absorbing sheet under so when she goes it is absorbs the pee and does run off like some other pads We tried some with five or six layers but they had an imbosed top and the pee did not get absorbed it just ran off on the floor and under the pad.
