Here I was on United flying home from Florida in a cramped airplane and I was handed a Stroopwafel to eat with my coffee. I was in heaven and had to buy some immediately. There these were on Amazon and I have been happily having some with my coffee ever since!

The first time I had a Stroopwafel I thought it was a regular cookie. I was given a headshake of disapproval from our friend from Munich. Oh, how I was wrong to assume.I learned that there is a technique for consuming the beloved European Stroopwafel.Pour your coffee, espresso, or tea.Lay the stroopwafel on top of the mug for a minute.Turn it over when you see it darken in the middle.Test the bend. If it is still firm in the middle: continue to keep it over the hot beverage.When it is bendy: that is when the caramel is soft.Take a bite.Try not to shove the whole thing in your mouth at once.Savor the caramel and the sweet cookie coating.Dip it in your espresso, if you must.These come individually packed for freshness (or vending) or to let me know that inhaling more than one at a time is frowned upon. Either way: I'm glad I found them.They're a rare treat and although it looked like Amazon may have played 'catch the cookie box' in the warehouse, they were all edible. A few broken edges won't deter me from this delicious snack. I just wish they'd been more careful in the handling of them.

I originally bought these stroopwaffels to use on long bike rides while training. They make great energy snacks and are individually wrapped, so they fit well in a bike jersey. My wife & 8yr old tried them and went crazy. Needless to say, they plowed through them and I needed to get more. My favorite way to eat them is to sit it on top of my coffee cup for about 30 seconds. The heat makes them warm & gooey.

I ordered several brands of Stroopwafels so I could do a comparison. This is one brand I will not buy again. I suppose they could be improved if they were at least a little crispy, but they weren't. I really should have returned them immediately when I opened them and saw they had 6 days left before the "best by" date, that's my fault for not returning them, but I decided that I should try them. I just won't be trying them again.

Item only came with 8 cookies, not 16. Box was clearly opened. Perhaps cookies fell out? I checked the shipping bag and no extra cookies inside. I also can’t return this item so I am super disappointed. This was added to a monthly subscribe and save and I am canceling this order. Super disappointed since they taste so yummy.

It added a wonderful addition to an young adult easter basket... and a reminder that we first saw these on a flight...maybe soon we will be back on those flights.

These are YUMMY! Just the perfect amount of sweetness. The shipping and package came in fine. The vanilla flavor is so good. I’ve been taking one with me every morning with my coffee on my way to work. Nice crisp on the outside and gooey goodness on the inside. Just like the stroopwafels in Amsterdam I had before. Will buy again!

Taste is very subjective. It was okay, but not my cup of tea. I tried them right out of the package and then with coffee. My wife did not like them at all. If I was offered one, I would not refuse it, but do not plan to buy again. Give them a try and see what you think.
