La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5, Barrier Repair Cream for Dry Skin

I mostly use this on my face as I get some dry patches. It is probably one of the most hydrating, thick creams I’ve ever used. It has a strange texture that looks a bit like white glue and it’s a little weird at first but it spreads beautifully with no white cast and it doesn’t feel sticky. A little goes a long way and I’ve found it feels better on my skin to use less. The fragrance is very light so it doesn’t irritate me. I actually don’t know if it’s fragrance or the natural scent of the balm. The price ranges a lot and I bought it at the higher end but I still think it’s worth the money. The silicones provide a barrier to help skin heal and it just works really well on my dry skin, especially if I use it at night my skin feels hydrated until the morning. The tube lasts me forever because I just use a tiny bit each time. I really like using this balm.

Great cream for my sensitive, rosacea skin. I’ve been trying to find the right combination of products to moisturize my face and repair my skin barrier. After using this for a week, I’ve noticed less redness and my skin feels soft and hydrated. There is no fragrance, and a little goes a long way so it will last awhile.

This stuff is my holy grail!! I have combo skin that's really prone to greasiness with "heavy" moisturizers but also have some super dry areas that peel. I also have eczema, rosacea, stubborn treatment resistant acne, VERY sensitive skin, and allergies to several common moisturizer ingredients and most fragrances (MCAS). Finding any skin care is a mine field for me, but I decided to give this a shot after seeing people online raving about it. Using this 2x a week healed my damaged skin barrier and got rid of my facial eczema and dry patches. I use it daily when my rosacea flares, and it significantly reduces my redness and burning literally within a half hour of applying. There's no noticiable fragrance and so far I haven't had any sensitivites to any ingredients. My biggest concern after reading reviews was greasiness, but I only had an issue if I tried applying it every day with a heavy layer. I also didn't have any problems with it causing or worsening acne breakouts. Somehow my acne actually significantly improved too?? It's a little pricey, but a little goes a long way. I have no idea what makes this stuff so special, but I'm so glad I gave it a try because it has been such a game changer for me!

I honestly don’t know how many times I’ve repurchased this cream. It’s one of those products I always keep at home because it works for everyone in my family, including my kids. It’s been a lifesaver for my very dry, cracked hands, and I also use it on my kids when their skin gets dry and chapped from the weather. I love that it’s rich and moisturizing without leaving that greasy, heavy feeling on the skin. I’ve been using it for a long time and will definitely keep buying it.

I recently started having an issue with the skin on my neck and upper chest going through stages of being really itchy, irritated, burning, scaly (perimenopause is no joke folks). Sometimes it's so bad I have to sit with an ice bag on it all day. I tried an oatmeal based gel moisturizer, but it burned when applied and the effects wore off within hours. This stuff is awesome, but know a few things. First, it's very, very thick. In fact, what it mostly is and will remind you of, is diaper rash cream. And actually, the instructions on the tube mention it being for diaper rash. I cannot fathom anyone using this for that purpose because of my main complaint----for the size of the tube you are getting, this is so ridiculously over-priced. I can see paying $14 for the larger sized tube. But $14 for 1.35oz of basically diaper rash cream is criminal. The only reason I will continue to buy this is because it works so well, and unlike most diaper rash creams, this does soak into your skin leaving no white cast. I know this is marketed a lot on social media to use for repairing your facial skin barrier, but this is way too thick and heavy for all over facial use. My pores are screaming in pain just thinking about it.

There is no mincing words with this product, it’s not overhyped and if you are thinking about trying it, you need to. My skin barrier on my face immediately, looked and felt so much better. Any area on your body that’s upset loves this stuff. Because of how well it works I had the thought to put it on over a mile razor burn, and the next day it was completely healed. No redness. A little goes a long way and a lot still isn’t too much. A peace sized amount is truly all you need. When my face is really upset, sometimes I’ll just lather this on and let my skin drink it, and my skin drinks this stuff. It’s thick, but it’s not heavy or greasy. It’s so good. I tell everybody about it and if I could, I would buy like 10 and give them to everybody I know with any skin issues because it’s truly a miracle product. I wear it under makeup and it’s completely fine. It’s amazing. Instead of buying 10 other skin care product products to implement into your routine just buy this. Just buy this one. The value for the money is crazy.

First time purchase and was skeptical because my skin is very sensitive. After using the product, I have had no adverse reactions or sensitivity and the product has healed some very sensitive areas on my face and neck. There was no fragrance and the cap works very well. The tube is fairly strong and a slight bit of pressure is all it takes to have some product on my fingertip. The product is very smooth and feels light with no greasiness. Works well so far for myself and will probably become part of my personal care kit.

My skin is extra dry and I love the feeling that this balm gives me. I noticed that the regular b5 balm seems to have a different formulation compared to the one that is called “soothing therapeutic” and so I have specifically bought this one because I love the texture. I like going to bed with the thick layer on top of all my serums and retinol.

Bis jetzt die beste Creme die mir bei Rosacea in der kalten Jahreszeit hilft. Über die Nacht (nach der Gesichtspflege) angewendet, mildert es die Rötung. Tagsüber nehme ich es als Grundlage für make up. Davor warte ich aber dass die Creme einzieht damit nicht so viel Fettfilm drauf ist. Und ich bin begeistert. Ist schon meine zweite Tube. Hatte bis jetzt keine Creme die ich bis zum Schluss angewendet habe und schon gar nicht, zweites Mal gekauft, weil ich große Schwierigkeiten habe, bei der Rosacea richtige Pflege zu finden, ohne dass es weiteren Schub auslöst. Aber von dieser bin ich überzeugt.
