It's completely baby safe since the ingredients are all food. It's expensive, but we've been using the same pack for 3 years- a little powder goes a long way.The texture isn't like regular paint, the colors aren't as vibrant as regular paint, they dry to different shades, and they fade over time. This isn't surprising since they're food! I've also never had this stain my kids' skin and it's easy to clean up. I'm certain it would stain fabric (especially the turmeric one) so my kids paint in just a diaper. It would likely stain light colored plastic as well, like a highchair tray, but it's never stained our sealed wooden table and is easy to clean off.I would never use this paint to make keepsake items or gifts for others, for that we use acrylic paints and keep a VERY close eye on kids who might try to taste it. Between painting and bathing, we used an entire wake window doing this activity and still have plenty of paint to do it again a few more times.Cons: if you’re looking to make keepsakes, these likely aren’t for you. The colors dull to chalk shades when dry, it smells of spices and looks textured and delicate.
