Cheaply printed and bound on anti-read paper
At first glance, I was so disappointed. Now, I'm annoyed every time I look at the book. PMI is obviously more concerned that someone will make unauthorized copies than producing a good product that someone can actually read. On the first page, there is a disclaimer that says the book is printed with "a patented anti-counterfeit print technology designed to prevent unauthorized reproductions...intended to discourage anyone from attempting to illegally reproduce or counterfeit this book." The paper is gray, hard to read in anything but perfect lighting, with charts and graphics that do not stand out from the gray background. I have the previous version (5th) of the PMBOK and it is printed on good quality white paper. Although no pages have fallen out yet, the book looks like it is cheaply bound and pages will start coming out as soon as it gets some serious use. For an organization that preaches satisfying stakeholder requirements, I wonder what the calculus was to produce a product that doesn't meet or exceed the quality standards of the last version.

The sixth edition is unreadable. A disgrace that PMI thinks it is OK to produce a version that people cannot read.
One star is too high for the sixth edition. The sixth edition is printed on anti-copying, anti-theft paper, like checks. It also has a large watermark across every page. It is entirely unreadable. PMI has chosen to punish all of us for those few people, who steal the document. As best as I have been able to determine, PMI does not have a version for people with visual challenges.

Really really hard to read....I mean REALLY HARD
I should have trusted the reviews...Read it for half and hour and my head hurts, when people say grey pages I mean its really grey, I thouhgt it was a light grey I could handle but it is really anoying and hard to read! I don't think I'll be able to finish this book anytime soon having to take breaks every 30min...waste of money

PMI Global Standard in stupidity.
Their grey with watermarked paper completely ruined the books. What a waste. They need to reprint this now on white real paper because is stupid. It's like looking at a magic eye picture. You will not be able to focus at all. I wish I could give it no stars.

Good framework let down by greed and profit
Content is fine, moderate update to previous edition.Printing - what a mess! It's on very low quality paper. I don't mind recycled paper at all, but when you're paying £60 you don't expect this.CRIMINALLY there's also a copy control measure which has wavy text on the background to prevent photocopying. This is like the cd DRM debacle a few years back; the only people it negatively impacts are people who genuinely purchase the book. It's giving my team headaches and makes it largely difficult to read for any length of time. Predictably there are places to get this not-in-book-form that get around this that I'm sure are less than legitimate, so it only serves to drive people away from purchasing the book.Another case where the PMI sees its profit as more important than its practitioners.

Falls far short of expected product quality
If only the contents were the same quality and colourful as the cover, it would be better. They cannot make the inside colourful because they have put copyright ahead of customer experience by using the anti-counterfeit paper. Reading this will be like watching paint dry, when you combine heavy content and boring presentation. The paper watermark is as insulting as is the fact that the 'free' digital copy you get as a PMI member cannot have any pages printed, nor any text copy/pasted. These approaches paint a distrustful corporate culture, and the customer experience is secondary to IP protection. The watermark will easily cause eye strain or headaches as some have mentioned. The watermark is not subtle - I can read the 'background text' with my reading glasses on.By comparison, I received the PRINCE2 'Managing Successful Projects' guide this week as well. Colourful, intuitive, structured, robust.....I could go on. Chalk and Cheese between the PMI and Axelos.

The Complete and Authentic Guide to PMP
I ordered this with a lot of trepidation after reading the negative reviews left by other customers regarding the page color, print quality etc. However, since I needed a copy to begin preparation, I had no choice but to go ahead and order the one available in India since the other option was to order another one directly from the US and that would have been prohibitively expensive. However, the moment i opened the book, I realized that it is a well written, well published and wonderfully good book to have. Yes, the pages are grey in color but that is because this book has been printed using anti-counterfeiting technology that prevents those pages from being illegally reproduced or photocopied. You just need to ensure that the lighting under which you are studying is ample and correct and you will not have any trouble reading the material. Reading the book in low / inadequate lighting will definitely be a problem since the pages are not completely white and the contrast between the printed word and the page doesn't work so well in low lighting. The book is as good and as useful as what PM-BOK Guide 5 was and I am very happy that I ordered it. Wish me luck for my exam and I wish everyone of you who plan to take it, best of luck as well!

The kindle edition requires better resolution.
Excellent work. However, all the precious diagrammes have a very low resolution, making them unreadable. I had to buy the huge print edition to have access.

No complaints😄😄
Received the guide in a good shape - no issues at all. A better paper quality however can improve reading experience but overall nothing to complain.
