Amish Country brand popcorn in varied colors made great winter holiday gifts for my neighbors, well received as a an alternative to the sweets and baked treats we usually share with each other at this time of year. It was also a special gift to give as a relocated Hoosier! The price per ounce for three 2-pound bags might be slightly higher than options you can find on supermarket and big box store shelves, but the product is so much more special! And not that you'd want to use it only for display, but the kernel colors are gorgeous and would be lovely decanted into glass jars and placed in a prominent place in the kitchen or pantry.

I bought the blue corn giant mushroom and caramel corn. Each are delicious in their own right with very few unpopped kernels. I like to put mine and clarified butter on the stove with a little bit of melted butter, curry and cheddar cheese powder.

The blue is nice and light tasting, the Caramel pops big and tastes sweet, and the mushroom mostly keeps a round shape and has great texture. Each variety pops nearly 95% of kernels, they're quite efficient. Very tasty for the price, can’t wait to try out some new varieties next time

We are picky popcorninoisseurs in my family. We love the variety of the 3 flavors. My favorite is the larger white but I like the smaller a lot too. My kids prefer the purple but love the other two as well. We make it in a metal pan on the stove using avocado oil. The only healthier option is probably an air popper as long as you're not using a plastic one. This is a great product and well worth it.

The taste of the popcorn is really good but I would not recommend using this brand if you have an air-popper, particularly, the hull-less flavor. So many of the un-popped corn popped out of the air-popper so I lost quite a bit of product. The taste was good but not significantly better than the Red Mill popcorn I used before. Didn't really notice much of a taste difference between the 3 flavors. Good, but not great. Nothing to rave about.

There is some slight taste differences in the types, at least to me (you tastes will vary): blue has a slight 'nutty' flavor like walnut, the rainbow mix more like cashew and barley, and the yellow is classic corn. However, it is light enough for me that if I put any popcorn spice or a lot of salty butter the difference is gone. Also, they all pop white as blue corn is only the corn kernel shell that is white: the starch 'core' still pops white on all of them.
